We can see Dr Bronner's soap in the foreign goods store in Aeon mall sometimes. After import fee it's too expensive to buy, but sometimes I look it over just to read his crazy ranting all over the package. I'm a native speaker and even I can't understand what the hell he's talking about! haha. Weird guy. But good products.
I tried stopping shampoo before because I don't like the idea of all these chemicals. But after a week my hair was just so greasy and hurt at the scalp. My friends who don't use shampoo told me you just have to power through this phase and the body will adapt after a few weeks. But I wimped out. Maybe I'll try again someday.
Oh, I miss Aeon sometimes! They have almost everything. However, every time I went to Aeon, I lost all of my energy because they have too much stuff and noise. I still miss it though.
Yes, when I switched to a soap bar from shampoo, my hair became super greasy and dry. A few months later, my hair became much nicer. Your friend is right. I think our body will adapt easily. These days, there are many nice liquid organic shampoos as well. I just noticed that if I don't use many chemical products, I don't need to buy products much. That was an interesting satori moment for me. I think I was brainwashed to buy many products by commercials or something!
