Nigeria youth of then compared to the Nigeria youth of today

What has happened to us? Where have we gotten it wrong? What is it that has really led us to this mess ?
We need to have a very difficult conversation about the Nigerian youth.
Back then, Males and females were mostly well-built in athletic, brimming with energy and creativity. Why would young person with such an attributes derive pleasure in seeking shortcuts to success, fame or wealth?

Why the terms like ‘hard work’, ‘loyalty’, ‘tenacity’ and ‘learning’ are disappearing from youthful dictionaries? What is behind the excessive craze for stupendous wealth without proper education, skills, experience and effort? What happened to the values of contentment, fulfilment, perseverance, passion and inner peace ?

Who has really led us here? Our parents, Government or both?
As for me i believe both our parents and the government have both fail in carrying out their responsibility as a leader. As for the government we all know how they have failed us in all aspects of governing economically, socially and security wise. Despite the government failure, the country would have been better if parent's responsibility as been dispensate effectively on their children or wards.

To me the system doesn't support all what you mention like athletics or so ,mean while Nigeria youth are still hardworking but when all major system doesn't support ,how will me and you know who is working or not ,when illiterate get better job than literate, how will we know who is hardworking or not ,when is not about what you know but about who you know, Nigeria youth will rather go for a self development job online most working from home job than , learning work that won't pay at the end of the day , Nigeria youth are still hardworking like before, they just change their perspective

Noted sir thanks

It's true Sha. As a teenager, I've seen pictures of older people in their teens. See how huge they looked😲. Apart from that, concerning the hardworking part... I think apart from government and parents, the media has a large role to play i.e both social media, internet and even the news. Youths of nowadays like me have gotten a different picture of what success is (or at last what it feels like it is). We feel like once you have money and wealth, you've made it. There's no other sense of accomplishment apart from wealth, that's the main reason. If they have another sense of accomplishment like healing the land, changing the world with their talents it'll all change.

I'm not among them Sha😅. I get life goals. Wonderful post❤️

Thanks baba
