My Favourite Nigerian Food

There so many dishes available in nigeria to love, without food there is no life.my mother makes delicious food and I love having every of her delicious food.my favourite food is banga and starch, the combination of spices and everything used for making it makes, it yummy 😋.

Steps making banga soup
Step 1. Wash the palm fruits and place inside a pot with water, cover it and start cooking. Cook till palm fruits are well done.
Step 2. You can know when the palm fruits is ready, when is soft to bite and can easily rub off the flesh from the nuts.
Step 3.while they are still hot, you pound the palm fruits with mortar and pestle till the flesh is separated from the nuts. Pour hot water and strain the extract through a sieve.
Step 4. Pour the extract in a pot and boil till it thickens, then add meat stock or water depends on how thick you want the soup.
Step 5. Add pepper, grounded crayfish, grounded banga spices, banga stick(oburunbebe), salt and stock cube. Also add your cooked meat, dried fish or catfish. Cover and cook for your fish to be well cooked.
Step 6. You can add scent leaves depending on you, cook for some minutes then your soup is ready.

Steps for making starch
Starch is made from cassava,its usually caked up and that's how it is sold.
Step 1.put the starch in a pot and dissolve with water, it should not be too thick or too light.
Step 2. Add a little palm oil into the starch, put it on a gas stove and begin to stir over till it begins to thicken and stiffen, remove the starch from ur pot ur put into a bowl.then you starch is ready.
