RE: Hive-Naija weekend Engagement #20 - "Personality Traits"

in Speak Peace4 years ago

Whoever thought introverts were clearly smarter than extroverts totally gets it all wrong. .one of the most powerful traits a human can have is to be outspoken and being to express yourself.
Its true that a lot of introverts are good with observation and noting detail, that's Smart...but we can't say for sure who's smarter ..both traits help in different situations.

I started off as an introvert, always locked indoors doing nothing but watching movies or any other thing. In as much as I was a smart kid, I lacked other areas. I was shy, couldn't express myself in public, even when I know the answers to the question I don't stand up to say the answer. So it affected me, I missed a lot of opportunities and it's quite regrettable. The only thing I could easily do was play football with others but I still wasn't confident enough...

Then I started to dance, being introverted dealt with me. I couldn't face people, if I caught them staring at me I just lose control. So i saw the need to change.. what i believe is that in most introverts they're bits of extroverted nature in them . You'll notice that when you get really close to an introvert you'll see that they're quite naughty, talkative and playfully .they just don't know how to show it.

So I started to work on myself, the university helped...we had a lot of instances where we were made to stand in front of people and talk...so i started to get the hang of it..now, I can pretty much talk in front of others and you'll pretty much think I'm an extrovert...but then I'm still an introvert because I still don't really talk, I only talk when spoken to..I can hardly just approach anyone and kickstart a conversation but I can still stand up and dance in front of a million people.

Does that make me an introveted extrovert????

Does that make me an introveted extrovert?

Smile, you're still an introvert, I also felt like that at some point, but was able to get over it, aside necessary public place where I get to talk, I mostly stay silent, but with my league of close friends, I tend to talk at length.

A friend ones saw me discussing thoroughly with my neighbor, and was like, Kai you can pretend o, I just smile.

The thing is most Introverts don't channel out their inner extrovert traits until they're sure they can trust you or you're very close to them.

Lol...I find it hilarious that people would think an introvert doesn't talk at all. They're guarded people but they will go crazy when they're comfortable. It's not pretense at all.

You got the point Brother, it's isn't pretence, it just that we tend to be more open and free with people we understand and closer to.

So you can dance?

I want to be among the million people that watch you dance 😌

Well, I think I'll say you're an extroverted introvert 🤪 come and beat, I know they are the same kinda.

Omo e be like there are levels to this thing. Because I am an introvert but I do not have a problem expressing myself. Although I am not one to volunteer to answer a question but If I get picked I have no problem doing so in a few words of course.

Does that make me an introverted extrovert????

Lol, you are still an introvert who knows how to express themselves

I can see how people would be surprised when you answer question(s) in class. They'd be like..WOWWW!!

😂😂 I guess you could say that.

Of course, why won't I?😁

This comrade could dance... ??😂😂😂
I need to see you don some steps, man.

Not answering questions in answer, that one am very good at that
Funny enough they still spot me on class and tell me to answer maybe we are few girls among boys because i'm in Engineering

It's good you learnt to express yourself, because someone people seems to ride on people because they are quiet

You know this exactly my story,
But then I still enjoy keeping to myself though the only difference is I now have more confidence in myself.
