James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Patience is one of the greatest virtues of a child of God, though somehow rare among us. The Lord admonishes us to be patient.
Patience is the attitude of waiting on God with the assurance of victory on every side. Victory is assured in Christ alone.
The chaos and problems of this age seems to distract us from this truth. We tend to feel that if the favour is not here now, it won't be here again.
The rush hour syndrome drives our hearts towards the instant pleasures of life and we tend to ask God "why not now".
But the Almighty God is not just the God of now but also the God of later. He lives in the realms of eternity, where anything can be done by Him within microseconds.
Stop the anxiety and worries, just wait on God. Let go of the fear of failure, just wait on God. Refuse to be afraid of what the enemy will do, just trust God.
The Lord shall come for those that wait on Him. His coming is unannounced, everyone shall suddenly realize His presence that day.
Please don't give up now, you have come too far to let go of God's presence in your life.
Hold your peace, Jesus is in your case.

Dear Lord, thank you for the victory you have given to us and the assurance of more in Christ. Please strengthen us to patiently wait on you and never be found wanting at your coming, in Jesus name. Amen.
