For the longest time, I didn’t know what happiness meant, People would always say that happiness was a choice and I had to choose it but no one ever explained how that choice could be made so I spent a long time being unhappy and faking it till I made it which went on for a long time.

A friend of mine recently asked me this same question “what makes you happy” and I immediately said money but she being all-wise said that money wasn’t what made me happy but just a means to happiness and after she said that, it opened my eyes and I realized where my happiness came from.

So what truly makes me happy if you may ask? Well, the answer is very clear and very simple, the thing that makes me happy is what we consider the little things, I don’t know if that makes sense to you so I will elaborate.

While thinking about what to write as the answer to this question I realized that my happiness didn’t come from people, relationships, or even material things, instead it came from the simplest things in life.

My happiness came from my favorite songs, it came from rainfall on a hot day, it came from Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a goal and the cheers from the football stadium, it came from the random “I loves you” and the credit alerts, it also sometimes came from my favorite food, or after I have watched a good movie, and finally It came from my friends and family.

When I finally realized that happiness could spring forth from every little thing in life, I truly experienced it just by existing and I finally became happy.

Thank you for opening this box of passion

Happiness is always in the little things. We need to be more receptive in order to be happy. The little things are all around us most of the time.

It was a goid read @khaleesii . It made me smile.

Fooood ooo... One major source of happiness. You're right though. Happiness can come from any angle. Even the hopeless of places...😊

Food is very important oh, so of course.

Yeah, I feel that happiness has different sources so why not utilize it all.

Thank you for reading D.

I'm glad i did 😊

hmm yea that ecstacy for football fans when their favorite player scored a goal, the joy of eating that food you craved for, credit alert is a medicine that cures sadness, you are so right! little things that happen around us are the source of happiness.

Thank you for agreeing with me and reading.

I remember a friend was sick for some days and I went to visit her. While I was with her, she got an alert of 50k from her uncle to take care of herself... You needed to see how this girl got up all strong and happy that we should go out for fun.

Money can be a big boast to one's happiness, I mean can one find little things that make him or her happy without money doing a little background work? Just wondering though.

You have so many things that make you happy, that's really good to know... That way, I can make you happy 😁

Reminds me of my siblings saying that you aren't sick when you don't have money, you are just broke 😆 I think there are little things you can do without money though, most of what I stated even.

I am looking forward to you making me happy.

Yeah, you're right about that.

Indeed. Money comes and goes. Money can buy your admission to a football match, but it cannot buy the excitement that comes from your favorite team scoring a goal. Money can even buy friends, but it cannot buy more time with the ones you love.

Good read, and congratulations on your journey!

Exactly, money is a means to all these things but it can't give you it.

Happiness comes from any angel as long as it giving me a sense of satisfaction and joy then is my source of happiness.
Rain on a hot day that happiness is another level.
Or getting to have a cold drink in a sunny weather the joy that comes along with all these is on high level.

Yeah, happiness comes from different places.

Hey box of passion @khaleesii, it is always a pleasure to read your post. Indeed money is a means to happiness and not true happiness in itself. Keep being happy.

Thank you so much, your words have just made my day.

Awwwwww. You're so sweet and you're most definitely welcome.

You are very correct months in itself does not give happiness. A lot of people have money. Yet they are not happy. Nice read

That is very true.

I think your initial reaction to answer money is the same many would say
But I totally agree with you often it is the little things in life that bring happiness the trick is really being open yo appreciate them

Exactly, you need to be able to appreciate the little things to truly be happy.

Thank you for reading.

My Pleasure to visit your post

money wasn’t what made me happy but just a means to happiness and after she said that, it opened my eyes and I realized where my happiness came from

That is a great eye-opener indeed.

Yes, it's easy to think it's the money that makes us happy, while it is only a tool...

I'm glad you could discover what really makes you happy and that you can truly find joy in those things!

Thank you so much for reading

Joy in Mindfulness. !LUV

Thank you

Your friend was right when she said money was just a means to happiness. The little things around us like you rightly said are actually the things that makes us happy but it's so sad we don't see or appreciate that.

We often tend to look for happiness elsewhere instead of finding happiness from these little things and unfortunately, in the process of finding this happiness elsewhere, we end up losing it... I hope we learn from this piece.....
