So just days ago I stumbled upon the prompt for this week and i was like what on prompted this prompt but the truth is,begging has become something that is fast becoming the order of the day which is not encouraging,it is now very visible and gradually being encouraged in our society today.

Permit me to say that beggars have now seen begging as an excuse for their laziness. Even the Holy scripture says that if a man would not work let him not eat. Whoever will not commit himself to doing something productive should not have any business with eating and living fine. I know your impression about me at this juncture is that am mean and merciless.. smiles. Don't be too quick to conclude about my person. Get to fully understand my standpoint and take on this issue.
It is good to help our fellow men,but come to think of it,are you really helping them when you encourage to them stay on the street by giving them stipends? Are you really encouraging them to be productive by giving to them even when you know they have two hands and legs (most of them are actually complete beings) like you who wakes ups early to find something productive doing?
To be frank with you,I don't give all beggars money, I give few and those few I give,I scrutinize well. For example,I don't give beggars who have two legs and hands my money,I don't give beggars who take pleasure in begging around my money...trust me I know what I mean by the statement who takes pleasure, you see them almost everyday with no form of shame,yet they look completely agile and even fresher than those who gives to them. It mean they practically live on what they get from people daily. Trust me when this money is calculated,it sometimes surpasses your basic salary if not X2 of it.
Begging is a mentality that cripples the productive ability of an individual,one tend not to work again if he realise he can get a substantial amount that keeps his soul and body together and even foot your bills by just sitting somewhere around the corner in a street,how then does the thought of working to earn decent money come to mind? It almost impossible.
In a nutshell I'm careful about who I give my money because money is not easy to come by,I've seen people without complete arm and foot do menial and decent job for living and they are being productive that way and this has a way of adding to the economy. Left to me,i'ld love that beggars stop begging and think of what to do to earn a good living especially those who are complete and capable. If there would be beggars it should be few,I would also love to plead with the government to make things easy for her citizen such that all these activities will reduce to the bearest minimum. We who also take delight in giving to beggars should also try to talk them into being productive. We can achieve this,I tell you.
For example you can tell an able bodied fine boy/girl beggar to help you with menial job (since most complain there's no job). The service they render to you will actually earn them something you would have giving to someone else and by so doing,you're correcting their mentality. You would also get to know those who are really lazy among them

Am very sorry if my submission is just too harsh,I just feel we need to correct somethings before it escalates into something we can no longer handle. What saddens me more is the children I see around that has taken up this act with pleasure,they can work up to you without caution,they ain't even afraid of the implication of what they are doing. what if someone gives them money and they become yam...funny though but am sure you got the point.Let's not make this act an hobby for them
