You are right, we should include God in everything we do but we should also bear in mind that God loves actions more because it's only when we do something that he can help.

That person was not far from the truth, the youths are the leaders while the elders are the experienced ones and their responsibility is to advise the youth and not to deprive them from leading, but the reverse is the case.
As youth we now do the advising while the elders do the leading, that's one area where things have gone totally wrong.
