Haydée Mercedes Sosa was born in San Miguel de Tucumán, on July 9, 1935 and died in Buenos Aires, on October 4, 2009.
She was a singer of Argentine folk music, considered the greatest exponent of Argentine folklore. She became known as the voice of Latin America, founder of the New Song Book Movement and one of the exponents of the New Latin American Song. He ventured into other genres such as tango, rock and pop.

Haydée Mercedes Sosa nació en San Miguel de Tucumán,el 9 de julio de 1935 y fallece en Buenos Aires, el 4 de octubre de 2009.
fue una cantante de música folclórica argentina, considerada la mayor exponente del folklore argentino. Se la conoció como la voz de América Latina.Fundadora del Movimiento del Nuevo Cancionero y una de las exponentes de la Nueva Canción Latinoamericana. Incursionó en otros géneros como el tango, el rock y el pop.
