Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community celebrating live music on Hive. Each week is a new event, inviting creative expression and genuine connection.
This song brings me to a place of reverence, honoring the sun. Our sun blesses us every day with vital energy, warmth, and light—it is the element of fire alive in us. It shows up in all of life on our planet, between animals, plants, and fungi, giving and giving. And what to we give in return for all the gifts the sun gives to us? We give our gratitude.

The sun.. and dancing in the sun can be our best medicine. Nice melody, smooth guitar sound. The lirycs are as always outstanding. 👌
So right. In fact, I think singing this song set the stage for me to dance in the sun as a brand new man. On 12/12, I let myself dance like never before, filled with love and gratitude, looking at the sun, eyes welling with tears. One song that really struck me was "Age of Aquarius" - wow, that song is fun, especially considering we're only a week away from this event. "Let the sunshine in..."

Divine timing, I'd say. Yes, this song slipped from my radar, even though I've listened to it a hundred times in the past. I haven't heard it in 10 years, I think, and all of a sudden here it is in all its glory. 💛🌟
