I'm grateful to you for selecting this week's theme: Music for Kids. What a great idea! Thank you for bringing your musical gifts and also your sweet presence into the Hive Open Mic community. Yes, and I'm with you in celebrating the music made for youths. This occasion reminds me of the fact that my own children helped me to cultivate the music in my life. When they were babies, I only knew a few songs by heart, and I saw the way the songs soothed them, and helped them to move through discomforts. As they grew into toddlers, I learned all kinds of bedtime songs to help them rest and relax into sleep. Now my kids are 8 and 10, and I still sing to them every night. Such a joy!

Sí, y estoy contigo en la celebración de la música hecha para jóvenes. Esta ocasión me recuerda el hecho de que mis propios hijos me ayudaron a cultivar la música en mi vida. Cuando eran bebés, solo me sabía algunas canciones de memoria y veía cómo las canciones los calmaban y los ayudaban a superar las incomodidades. A medida que se convertían en niños pequeños, aprendí todo tipo de canciones para dormir para ayudarlos a descansar y relajarse para dormir. Ahora mis hijos tienen 8 y 10 años, y todavía les canto todas las noches. ¡Qué alegría!
