Amigos de #hiveopenmic es una semana nueva en el concurso. 56 y es un gran logro, me llama la atención ese número y me siento muy contento de participar en esta oportunidad. Esta canción es muy significativa en el repertorio del maestro Silvio Rodríguez. Patrimonio Cultural viviente de la humanidad. Silvio es uno de los íconos de la composición latinoamericana con más de 4.000 canciones y una trayectoria de muchos años.

La canción que seleccioné para esta semana fue Camelot. Esta canción pertenece al disco Cita con ángeles, en el que el autor nos muestra su preocupación y disconformidad con la guerra de Irak. En este sentido, la canción va dedicada al Trío de las Azores.

Toda la letra tiene un tono medieval que le da un sentido crítico a la Guerra de Irak. De esta forma, el autor deja claro que esta guerra es un movimiento político retrógrado e inhumano.
De Camelot vuelan señales
En los dragones y los cuernos
Y hay un silencio de animales
Mientras se anuncian los infiernos.
El odio al otro es nuestra suerte
La sangre ajena es nuestra viña
Cuando profanen y den muerte
Seremos aves de rapiña.
Es este segundo párrafo, pone nombre al sitio donde se forja la guerra. Dragones y cuernos, cual armas que hacen callar la naturaleza y cuyo origen reside en el odio. ¿Porque Silvio utiliza Camelot para referirse a los EEUU? Se puede deber a diferentes razones. Camelot es el nombre con que se conocía a la Casa Blanca durante la presidencia de Kennedy. Pero puede haber una segunda razón, ya que Camelot es el nombre de un proyecto llevado a cabo por el ejército americano en Chile.
Dos contrahechos del norte
Y un enano de alcahuete

Y corazones de sables.
En este párrafo, Silvio ataca directamente al trío de las Azores. Blair, Bush y Aznar. A los que considera culpables de la Guerra.
Y una vez más como tragedia
Ronda el olor a carne rota
De calabozo de edad media
Donde callaban al ilota
Y una vez más contra el impulso
De besar y abrazar a gentes
Ceder al último recurso
Ojo por ojo, y diente a diente.
Termina con las terribles consecuencias de cualquier guerra y del odio y el rencor que eso provoca. Recordando que el impulso natural del hombre es besar y abrazar.

But there may be a second reason, since Camelot is the name of a project carried out by the American army in Chile.
