Hello everyone, how are you guys doing today? Welcome to Hive open mic week 220. My name is @danrabs. I'm very happy to be here and i like to kindly bring to your notice that this is my first post here, and I do hope that you will understand and pardon my mistakes and errors here as am very open to all forms of corrections and teachings here. I consider the theme "Time" for this week as a very interesting theme to sing and talk about. There's a popular saying which says " time waists for no one" maybe I should say, I came into Hive open mic at the right time hahahaha
Well, I will be doing a cover of a song title, You are God by Nathaniel Bassey. He is a Nigerian singer, pastor, trumpeter and gospel song writer, who over the years, has written and sang some of the most prominent, life touching and soul lifting songs.
The song, "you are God" is connected to the theme of this week time because the song brings to our knowledge that times and seasons are in God's hands, meaning; human workings, striving, planning, achievements, growth, development and attainment in life, is not because we know how to plan, work or set goals or good timing for ourselves, rather, it's God who makes everything possible and in His infinite mercy, He makes things to manifest in our life. You know, as a young boy, when I was growing up, I had dream, aspirations, goals and set target for myself, and as time pass by, some of these thing weren't achieved and I felt very bed, one that I can still remember vividly, is when I was seeking for admission into tertiary institution, and most of my friends got but I didn't, and I felt very bad, but today some of them are even late and some of them, I'm at least a step ahead of them in life and I thank God for that. At God's time, He makes all things beautiful. So this song calls for us to relax and know that times and seasons are in the hands of God and when God says it's your time to get married, buy that dream cars, build your desire house, get your kids, get that new juicy paying job, no one can stop it, and if He says it's your season to shine, nothing can stop you. So, we must make sure we always commit all our plans, dreams, aspirations desires, goals etc into the hands of God and at the appointed time of God, He will bring it to fruition.
