Hi Hivers, how are you all? I'm sure we'll all be fine this mid-March. Must be fun, right?
By the way, my name is @donirosayandi, I'm a beginner guitarist. On this auspicious occasion I will challenge myself again to sing, by singing the 101st week #openmic Hive Open Mic contest song with the following theme: "Freedom of Expression." This theme comes from recent Spotlight Artist: @galih.amenk , a guitar wizard.
For this week's theme I have prepared a good song, a song related to this theme is a song from "Bale Pulang" which was popularized by Toton Caribo and Justy Aldrin.

"Bale Pulang II" or "Angin Datang Kasih Kabar" is a Moluccan song sung collaboratively by Toton Caribo and Justy Aldrin. This song is my first cover song in Maluku, it's a bit difficult to pronounce, but I can get through it. This song really represents my freedom of expression, because experimenting with songs whose language is not very familiar, and it's an interesting challenge. After being released in April 2021, the song "Angin Kasih Kabar" was instantly trending and viral on TikTok. Not only is Tik tok viral, this song is also widely used as the background song for various videos on social media. After being launched, this song went viral again after being covered by a golden-voiced boy named Gihon Marel. This song tells about someone who is restless and anxious to receive the news that his lover is happy with his fiancé. As we listen to the waves and gurgling waterfalls, we may be able to enjoy comfort without having to understand what the waves and waterfalls are saying.

So deep in the meaning contained in the song "Bale Pulang", by only hearing the high hoarse voice, beautiful tone, and good mix of music, without knowing the contents of the lyrics, we can feel more or less what is felt. Actually, this single tells about the sad story of a man who is left by his girlfriend who is engaged to another man, so he prefers to stay away. It seems that in the story of this song, the pair of lovers are in a long distance relationship (LDR) which is separated by distance and time which initially promised to be loyal. On his way, the man faithfully waited and was always looking for news. He had been struggling to guard his heart, and hoped for good news. It turned out that when he received the news, what he received was the opposite news, namely bad news, he was left by his idol woman who was engaged to someone else.

The news anchor twists the story "The longing that is expected to be an accepted wound". In the end, he chose to stay away. And it will deepen the feeling if we can also know the contents of the words contained in the song.

Interesting right? This is what made me choose this song, because I think this song fits the theme of the 101st week of Hive Open Mic chosen by @galih.amenk, namely "Freedom of Expression".
