Hello my beautiful people of Hive Open Mic, who writes you his user @elmusiquito in week #112 and the theme that summons us this week is: Local Tradition, and this week I bring you a song that is performed in the celebration of the dance of San Juan Bautista: "Cantos de Sirenas".
Hola mi bella gente de Hive Open Mic, quien les escribe su usuario @elmusiquito en la semana #112 y el tema que nos convoca esta semana es: Tradición Local, y esta semana les traigo un canto que se realiza en la celebración del baile de San Juan Bautista: “Cantos de Sirenas”.
The siren songs are sung in honor of San Juan Bautista and are performed a Capella accompanied by a maraca, on the night of May 31 is the awakening of San Juan, and at twelve o'clock at night they take him to the river to baptize the saint and at that time these songs (sirens) are made in honor of him, Once baptized they take him to the house of the owner of the saint and place him on the altar, they sing sirens again, followed by the drum beat (Cumaco) and those present begin to sing and dance to the rhythm of the drum beat. This is how they celebrate it in Ocumare de la Costa in the State of Aragua (Venezuela).
Los cantos de sirenas son entonados en honor a San Juan Bautista y se realizan a Capella acompañados de una maraca, en la noche del 31 de mayo se realiza el despertar de San Juan, y a las doce de la noche lo llevan al rio para bautizar al Santo y en ese momento se le hacen estos cantos (sirenas) en honor a él, una vez bautizado lo llevan a la casa del dueño del santo lo colocan en el altar le vuelven hacer cantos de sirenas, seguido del golpe de tambor (Cumaco) y los presentes empiezan a cantar y a bailar al ritmo del golpe de tambor. Asi lo celebran en Ocumare de la costa en el Estado Aragua (Venezuela).

Para que la sople el viento
Y le canto esta sirena
De puro agradecimiento.

Las tradiciones de la costa venezolana son una joya cultural del país, son muy reconocidas hasta internacionalmente y más por tener raíces afrodescendientes bien marcadas. Amigo que espectacular se escuchó tu voz en este canto popular, me atrevería a decir que has participado en estas festividades ya que conoces muy bien como se entona e interpreta, es un sonido muy típico y particular!!!

Saludos amigo @fernanblog gracias por tus palabras, realmente nuestro pais ademas de tener riquezas naturales muy variadas y extraordinarias, tenemos una muy amplia varida y rica cultura (folklor), por doquier tenemos manifestaciones culturales, bailes, tradiciones, musica, ritos, costumbres, y esto es lo que hace que nuestro pais sea tan grandioso y a donde quiera que un Venezolano llega se hace sentir y queda siempre bien parado dejando muy buena impresion gracias a nuestra variada y hermosa cultura!!!
