I am Diego López, @encuentro, and I sing to you with great affection.
For this week 307, we have been proposed a theme of: "Psalms". When we think of a psalm, we often imagine ancient sacred texts. But in its essence, a psalm is a song that flows from, a sincere expression of faith, gratitude, and hope.
Thinking about this, I wanted to bring something in line with our own identity and spirituality, but from llanera music. I chose a piece that is almost a hymn for many: "Mi Credo" by the great Reinaldo Armas.
Although Reinaldo Armas sings from the plains and the cities and not from a temple, his song has a similarity to biblical psalms.
He sings his own declaration of principles. "Mi Credo" is his deepest truth, the "song of faith" that sustains him.
Many psalms praise the greatness of creation (like Psalm 19). For the llanero, the plains themselves are the temple. In the song, the Creator is manifested in the landscape, the river, and nature.
It reminds us of the importance of kindness and unity, of psalms that call for brotherhood.
I want to invite you to see how the music of our land can also be a prayer. We don't need complex rituals; sometimes, a simple song sung from the heart is the most sincere and genuine psalm.

Soy Diego López, @encuentro, y les canto con mucho afecto.
Para esta semana 307, nos han propuesto un tema de : "Salmos". Cuando pensamos en un salmo, a menudo imaginamos textos sagrados antiguos. Pero en su esencia, un salmo es un canto que brota de, una expresión sincera de fe, gratitud y esperanza.
Pensando en esto, quise traer algo acorde con nuestra propia identidad y espiritualidad, pero desde la música llanera. Elegí una pieza que es casi un himno para muchos: "Mi Credo"del gran Reinaldo Armas.
Aunque Reinaldo Armas canta desde la sabana y las ciudades y no desde un templo, su canción tiene la similitud con los salmos bíblicos.
Canta su propia declaración de principios. "Mi Credo" es su verdad más profunda, el "canto de fe" que lo sostiene.
Muchos salmos alaban la grandeza de la creación (como el Salmo 19). Para el llanero, la sabana misma es el templo. En la canción, el Creador se manifiesta en el paisaje, el río y la naturaleza.
Nos recuerda la importancia de la bondad y la unión, de los salmos que llaman a la fraternidad.
Quiero invitarles a ver cómo la música de nuestra tierra también puede ser una oración. No necesitamos ritos complejos; en ocasiones, una simple canción cantada con el corazón es el salmo más sincero y genuino.
Espero que disfruten esta humilde versión. ¡Un abrazo fuerte y que la música nos siga uniendo!
