For Hive Open Mic Week 297, with the theme “Call Me,” I decided to do a cover of one of my favorite hymns. This song is very special to me because it was sung during my wedding, and it carries deep meaning in my life. It reminds me of the day I truly heard the call of Jesus Christ and chose to lay all my confidence in Him alone.
In Christ, I have placed my trust, my hope, and my future. No matter what comes my way, this song keeps my faith alive because it reminds me that Jesus never fails. He is constant, faithful, and always present, even in difficult times. Whenever I sing or listen to this hymn, my heart is strengthened and my spirit is lifted.
In times like these, it is important for everyone to define who they are and hold firmly to their faith. For me, holding on to Jesus gives me peace and direction. This hymn has been covered by many amazing musicians over the years, but I chose to render it in my own simple and heartfelt way, expressing my personal journey and belief.
