This is the first #openmic in 2022. I'm very happy because Hive open mic week 91 is themed "Motivation to Achieve"
I brought a very phenomenal song from the "frontman" of the Beatles Band, John Lennon with the title "Imagine"
John Lennon gave legacy to the world with the song Imagine. The song, which became an anthem for peace, was composed by John after The Beatles disbanded. The song is on his solo album in 1971.
In slashing soft notes and four distinctive chords, this song at first glance sounds like a relaxing song to accompany someone to brew a cup of coffee in the afternoon. However, on closer inspection, John Lennon adds political lyrics and sharp social arguments with a piano sound that can break through total gloom.
In addition to gaining popularity, Imagine also reaped a lot of controversy at that time (possibly until now), because the lyrics were misinterpreted by some people around the world as an invitation to become an atheist.
John Lennon himself as a singer is also accused of being a follower of Satanic flow. It is normal to have different points of view in assessing something, as well as how to react to it.
