I am happy to be able to publish an entry for the 133rd week, which has the theme "Opportuninity" and is a proposal of the dear @sekani, the Spotlight Artist of this edition. This time I chose a song that I dedicate to myself, but at the same time I dedicate it to my father, the user @armandolnrs.
Original by Jon Secada, this piece of music is called "Soy Mi Destino", but I think that like many people in Latin America, I know this song through the Venezuelan performer Mayré Martinez, since it was her first hit after winning the first edition of Latin American Idol. For me, this song tells about all the good things I have achieved in life. Since I was a child I dreamed of living from singing and concerts and today it is a reality, since I do not exist without music.
Precisely at 34 years old I can say that I am my destiny, I say it and I feel it that way. The song identifies me perfectly. When I say that I dedicate it to my father it is also another great reality; I can really dedicate it to both, mom and dad, because despite the lyrics of the song, it is still addressed to someone. It is addressed to that person who saw you and motivated you to become the successful person you are today....
There are two parts of the second verse that I love very much. One of them says: "I miss you more than ever in my new reality"... It's beautiful to live the glamour of the music, the costumes and the concerts, but to get here I had to leave my city and my paternal home, and I think that for many musicians having their people in the audience is very special, but it doesn't happen to me. Me siento feliz de poder publicar una entrada para la semana 133 que lleva como temática "Opportuninity" y es una propuesta de la querida @sekani, la Artista Spotlight de esta edición. En esta oportunidad elegí una canción que me dedico a mí mismo, pero al mismo tiempo se la dedico a mi padre, el usuario @armandolnrs.
Original de Jon Secada, esta pieza musical se llama "Soy Mi Destino", pero creo que al igual que muchas personas en Latinoamérica, conozco esta canción por medio de la intérprete venezolana Mayré Martinez, ya que fue su primer éxito luego de ganar la primera edición del Latin American Idol. Para mí, esta canción narra sobre todo lo bueno que he conseguido en la vida. Desde niño soñaba con vivir del canto y conciertos y hoy es una realidad, ya que no existo sin la música.

Cuando digo que se la dedico a mi padre también es otra gran realidad; realmente se la puedo dedicar a los dos, mamá y papá, ya que a pesar de la letra de la canción, igual va dirigida a alguien. Va dirigida a esa persona que te vio y te motivó a convertirte en la persona exitosa que hoy eres...
Hay dos partes de la segunda estrofa que amo mucho. Una de ellas dice: "Me haces falta más que nunca en mi nueva realidad"... Es hermoso vivir el glamour de la música, el vestuario y los conciertos, pero para llegar aquí tuve que dejar mi ciudad y mi casa paterna, y creo que para muchos músicos tener a su gente en el público es muy especial, pero no me pasa. Por eso cuando vienen de visita o yo voy de visita a mi ciudad por motivos musicales son momentos que valen oro. Hay otra parte de la estrofa que dice: "Soy el reflejo de tu luz"... Wow, siento que esta frase lo dice todo @armandolnrs.
Tuve algunos problemas con el micrófono, así que escucharán una motocicleta en alguna parte de mi video. Este trabajo lo grabé con mi Tecno Pova II y lo edité con Shotcut y Photodirector. ¡Hola Jorge!. Bueno, lo primero que te digo es que todo tiene su momento. El tiempo de Dios es perfecto. Las cosas se dan mágicamente, pero lo importante es estar preparado para cuando llegue la "Oportunidad". Mi trabajo en el Sistema de Orquestas no se dio por casualidad. Estuve persiguiendo y soñando con entrar a la Coral Nacional desde el 2009 y al fin me aceptaron en 2017. De hecho aquí mismo en la plataforma, me cansé de publicar posts que se fueron en cero desde que comencé en 2018, pero no desistí y aquí estoy disfrutando de sus beneficios aún. Usted siga trabajando en todo que ya llegará tu momento.
Por cierto, ya nosotros comenzamos los ensayos para el Record Guinnes de Canto Coral. Creo que hasta la gente de las orquestas de todo el país tienen que sumarse a cantar porque necesitamos un coro como de 15 mil personas. Espero nos podamos ver en 2023 en ese encuentro. Posiblemente en Febrero 😉

Yo si alcance a escuchar la versión original de Jon Secada, mi papá siempre me colocaba sus discos, entre otros artistas de la época que hoy por hoy son leyendas de nuestra cultura latina, sin embargo, recuerdo muy bien cuando Mayré la sacó del estadio en Latin American Idol, la canción es una oda al triunfo y a la superación personal a todo nivel!!!!
