Hive Open Mic. Week 63. Fantasy with "guaraña". Original song.
To take advantage of the opportunity that the Hive Open Mic platform offers me, I bring you a rhythm that is quite ours and from my Guárico state, called "Guaraña".
The "guaraña" is a popular musical genre that is found a lot in the eastern region of the Guárico state, where I reside, above all, in Altagracia de Orituco, San José d Guaribe and Zaraza.
For the performance and singing of the "guaraña" only 3 simple instruments are needed, which are the "cuatro, the maracas and the tambor".
The stanzas generally consist of 4 verses, but sometimes 6 verses are also used, and, as in the present case, they can be repeated crossed.
The songs can have a short chorus, such as "la, la, la, la, la", and improvisation lends itself to these occasions.
There is a lot of similarity with "La Marisela", which they say is the same as "guaraña", but it would already be a point that would have to be dealt with in another opportunity.
For the first time I heard a "guaraña" by the popular group "Un Solo Pueblo".

Para aprovechar la oportunidad que me brinda la plataforma de Hive Open Mic, traigo un ritmo bastante nuestro de mi estado Guárico, denominado "Guaraña".
La "guaraña" es un género musical de carácter popular que se encuentra mucho en la región oriental del estado Guárico, donde resido, sobre todo, en Altagracia de Orituco, San José d Guaribe y Zaraza.
Para la ejecución y canto de la "guaraña" solo se necesitan 3 instrumentos sencillos, que son el "cuatro, las maracas y el tambor".
Las estrofas, generalmente, constan de 4 versos, pero a veces, también se usan 6 versos, y, como en el caso presente, se pueden repetir cruzados
Las canciones pueden llevar un breve coro, como "la, la, la, la, la", y la improvisación se presta para estas ocasiones.
Hay mucha semejanza con "La Marisela", que dicen que es igual que "guaraña", pero ya se trataría de un punto que habría que tratar en otra oportunidad.
Por primera vez escuché una "guaraña" por la agrupación popular "Un Solo Pueblo".

Una de las mejores publicaciones que hemos visto en estos espacios para nuestra música venezolana. Hace mucha falta esta exploración y difusión de este género, y el canto de Guaraña como tal, así como muchos otros géneros de nuestra música que aún no se exploran casi. Y que mejor que con una composición original.
