Hello beautiful people, I hope you are having a good time this weekend. It's a great pleasure to be back here once again for this wonderful opportunity of being able to express ourselves through music and weekly selected themes.
For this week, the theme is captivating and inspiring as usual. It is Our Virtue
In my humble understanding and opinion, virtue is a set of character and style of living which helps to put our actions in check in all our engagements in life. The opposite of virtue is Vice. Looking at this two words, we can think of Good and evil, where virtue is good, vice is evil.
there exists different virtues that help make life better, but there is one virtue that is greatly overlooked although it is very necessary for life to go on smoothly.
That is the virtue of forgiveness.
This virtue is lacking because it's difficult to forgive especially when we are hurt by our loved ones. The lack of this virtue has left a lot of persons depressed. The song I will perform, presents a possible and helpful advice to this regard.
In response to the theme of this week, I will present a song titled Forgive by CHIKE, A talented Nigerian artist. This song advices us to forgive and let go of all betrayal and offences against us because if we do not forgive we hurt the more. In the song, you may hear the a particular phrase in igbo language resonating "Onye ji mmadu jikwa onwe ya oo which means, the one who bears grudges eventually hurts himself. This is true because when you don't let go, you notice that you are not entirely free, but when you let go, you feel free like a bird. Let us imbibe this virtue of Forgiveness so that we can be free!!!
