Violinist at beautiful all white beach wedding.

I am a violinist from Cape Town and get asked to play at weddings quite often as an additional source of income.

As we all know, after Covid the wedding bookings were non existing for a very long time mainly because everyone was to scared to plan a wedding with all the lockdowns we had.

I am thrilled to say that bookings are picking up slowly but surely again and I get the chance to perform again!

Yesterday's wedding was not the ordinary wedding. I had the privilege to play at an all white romantic beach elopement in a very small town Paternoster in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Everything was perfect! From the soft white decor with subtle pastel flower arrangements to the brides music selection.

I started playing light classical music before the ceremony while the 6 guests were enjoying champagne waiting for the bride and her son to arrive.
The bride chose the song "A moment like this" for her and her son as he escourted her down the first half of the isle. Halfway through I changed over to the traditional wedding march as she was making her way down the last bit of the isle. Everything was so romantic with the beach behind her and the beautiful sunset and emotions were running high between the couple with tears of happiness and love.
Furthermore the bride requested the golden classic "La vie en rose" while they signed the register where after I continued with romantic lovesongs while the bride couple enjoyed fresh oysters and champagne with their loved ones.
All and all a beautiful, romantic, successfull day and I wish the couple all the happiness and health on their new adventure together.

"La vie en rose" is one of my favourite songs. One of these days I will learn it on guitar. This post wont earn much cash in the open mic community as this community is pretty much just for posting videos for the weekly open mic event.

Pictures like this would probably be better received on Liketu.com or perhaps in the photography community.

You could try making a video of you playing and post it in the music community. If you play "La vie en rose" tag me in the post I would love to hear it.
