I was born on July 20, 2003, so my zodiac sign is Cancer, a water sign, and its symbol is a crab. That's what I mean when I say the theme resonates with me. When it comes to the sea or water in general, my mind naturally flows, so today I'm sharing a beautiful song by the Cuban composer and performer Sindo Garay, titled Perla Marina.

Maestro Sindo Garay was known for creating beautiful, poetic songs, full of love, lyricism, deep connection, and spirit, derived from a traditional Cuban trova rich in this type of song. These songs also served as a source of inspiration for other artists who likewise filled their music with passion and heartfelt love. There are many versions of this song, such as the one by the internationally renowned Spanish singer Buika, and there are also chamber music versions, like the arrangement for female choir by the Cuban musician and arranger from Guantánamo, Conrado Monier Ribeaux, who was my professor of Popular Harmony in my third year of upper secondary school. Hola a todos los hivers de esta hermosa y dinámica comunidad, yo soy mariflautacubana. Esta semana tiene un tema muy bonito que me encanta y me representa mucho, "Opening seas". Nací un 20 de julio de 2003, por lo que mi signo sodiacal es Cáncer, un signo de agua, y su símbolo es un cangrejo, de esto les hablo cuando digo que el tema me representa. Cuando se trata del mar o de agua en general, mi mente fluye naturalmente, por ello hoy les traigo una bellísima canción del compositor e intérprete cubano Sindo Garay, titulada Perla Marina.
La letra de dicha canción hace alusión a una perla marina como algo precioso y raro que se encuentra oculto en las profundidades del océano, esto lo puedo interpretar como una metáfora de un amor o emoción profunda y valiosa que no es fácilmente accesible. Esta comparación no solo resalta la belleza de esa perla sino también me hace conectar con la naturaleza y la pureza. Nos deja un mensaje de comprensión y fidelidad, sólo aquellos que realmente entienden la profundidad de esta perla marina pueden apreciarla plenamente, al igual que el amor verdadero o una conexión espiritual.
El maestro Sindo Garay se caracterizó por la creación de bellas canciones poéticas, llenas de amor, lírica, conexión profunda y espíritu, devenidas de una trova tradicional cubana rica en este tipo de canciones, y a la vez fueron fuente de inspiración para otros artistas que también llenaron su música de pasión y amor desde el corazón.
Existen muchas versiones de esta canción, como la de la cantante española Buika, muy reconocida internacionalmente, y también existen versiones para formato de cámara como el arreglo para coro femenino del músico y arreglista cubano guantanamero Conrado Monier Ribeaux, quien fuese mi profesor de Armonía popular en IIIAÑO del nivel medio superior de mi carrera, y su arreglo lo interpreté junto al coro femenino "Voz Tempo" de la Ciudad de Guantánamo, Cuba, y del cual formé parte.
