It's still your girl @mhizerbee and for this week that talks about "Fraternity", I'll be doing a song by the Hillsong worship "Who you say I am " Those guys have blessed so many hearts with their lovely songs and this particular one isn't an exception.
FRATERNITY WHAT IS FRATERNITY? To my own knowledge, I would say that fraternity has to do with brotherhood and a group of persons. The dictionary has rightly defined what fraternity means saying It is a group of people associated for a common purpose. Also, It is a social organization of male students at a college or university The key word there is brotherhood and that's simple enough for one to understand.
When I saw this week's theme I was perplexed because my mind immediately ran to what we all know "Cult" and I was like what kind of theme is that? What are these people trying to do? I asked myself so many questions and I couldn't seem to know the answers and funny enough I didn't really know the meaning of the word "Fraternity" so immediately I asked my sister and she told me then I decided to check the dictionary for clarification.
It after I might have checked the meaning that I could really comprehend well and then I decided to sing this song. I don't have a fraternity other than that of Jesus Christ. It is the best one could belong to trust me you know why? He paid the price for me by dying on the cross so I can belong to his brotherhood. Now, that's where "Love" comes in.
If I were to be in another group, fraternity and brotherhood, I'm sure there would have been some certain rules and regulations, price to pay and probably what to do to make me legitimate but in Christ' Fraternity, I didn't have to do anything. He did it all for me and I am super proud to be a part of his group.
No group, brotherhood or Fraternity can make that possible and the good part is that there are rights and privileges to enjoy in Christ' group. In him you have everything you could ever imagine all we need do is live right, live justly, obey the Good book and keep his commandments.
