After thinking very hard about which song could be the ideal one for this week 109, I decided for the most complicated one but that without any doubt represents perfectly for me "paper kite", the theme of the week. the theme of the week.
Now why the most complicated one? It is hip hop and therefore requires a lot of rap in the interpretation. Orishas is the Cuban rap group responsible for this TEMAZO. The song is called 537 CUBA and is part of the album A lo cubano released in 2000.
Orishas represents a time of freedom for me, just like the flight of the kite. I remember being in high school and seeing their first video on MTV, it was a representation and I was amazed... A mix of Afro-Cuban rhythms, hip hop and lyrics in French, hahaha I was amazed. Then came the jewel of 537 CUBA, video recorded in Havana and well nothing as a lover of Latin rhythms and as a plus a phenomenal lyric I was smitten 😂.
Thanks to this great group I met Compay Segundo and the Cuban trova, since the song 537 CUBA uses part of the rhythm of the song Chan Chan as a base.
I hope you enjoy my participation and the rap I made, nothing easy but believe me I enjoyed so much the feeling of freedom when I did it that I hope to transmit that.
Luego de pensar muy bien que canción podría ser la ideal para esta semana 109, decidí por la más complicada pero que sin duda alguna representa perfectamente para mi “cometa de papel” , temática de la semana.
Ahora bien ¿por qué la más complicada? es hip hop y por ende amerita mucho rap en la interpretación. Orishas es el grupo de rap cubano responsable de este TEMAZO. La canción se llama 537 CUBA y forma parte del álbum A lo cubano lanzado en el año 2000.
Orishas representa una época para mi de libertad, tal cual como el vuelo de la cometa. Recuerdo estar en el colegio y ver su primer video en MTV, fue represent y quedé ufff ¿qué es esto?...Una mezcla de ritmos afrocubanos, hiphop y con letras en francés jajaja alucine. Luego vino la joya de 537 CUBA, video grabado en la Habana y pues nada como amante de los ritmos latinos y como plus una letra fenomenal quede flechado 😂.
Gracias a este gran grupo conocí a Compay Segundo y la trova cubana, ya que la canción de 537 CUBA usa parte del ritmo de la canción Chan Chan como base.
Espero disfruten mi participación y el rap que hice, nada fácil pero créanme goze tanto el sentimiento de libertad al hacerlo que espero transmitir eso.

Si es verdad! Es que esa agrupación es otro nivel. Yo tengo 3 cds de ellos. También tengo música de Aldo (aldeanos) que hice dos covers de hecho hace años para la blockchain, y Randy Acosta, me gusta mucho el rap cubano con coj*nes jaja (como dirían ellos)
