Happy start to the week, friends of Hive Open Mic! It's a pleasure to greet you today and share a little of my music with you all. For week 308, we have the theme “Charity,” which gives us much to reflect on.
Probably the first thing that comes to mind when we think of the word Charity is that attitude of compassion and solidarity towards others, especially if they are going through a difficult time of suffering or adversity, and the truth is that this definition is not entirely far from reality. However, I have learned that the word charity comes from the Latin Caritas or Caritatis, and means unconditional love. The interesting thing about this etymology is that it relegates the conception of charity as mere solidarity to the superficial.
Theologically, charity is described to us as pure love, the kind we can only experience from our Savior Jesus Christ. This reminds me of my favorite commandment: Love one another as I have loved you. I understand that charity is more than a feeling; it is the willingness to act through selfless devotion to others. In other words, we must reflect that love with deeds that come from the heart rather than with mere words.
Today, I present to you the song Yo Tengo un Nuevo Amor (I Have a New Love), performed by Christian music singer Roberto Orellana, from his album Árbol sin Raíces (Tree Without Roots), released in 1993. This song allows us to express the discovery of a new love, one that is authentic, pure, and unconditional, one that we can only receive from God and that teaches us to be better people and to find true peace in our lives. I hope you enjoy this presentation.

Y nunca yo me cansaré
De repetir hasta el final
El corazón me late sin parar
Hay uno que me ha dicho
Te amo de verdad
Jesús mi amor
Y más que amor mi dulce paz
Jamás imagine poder hallar
Aquel que le dio a mi vida
Una razón para amar
Jesús mi amor
Y más que amor mi dulce paz
Y más que amor mi dulce paz.
I Have a New Love
My heart beats without stopping
There is one who has told me
I truly love you
Jesus, my love
And more than love, my sweet peace
I never imagined I could find
The one who gave my life
A reason to love
Jesus, my love
And more than love, my sweet peace
Shouting to the whole world what I am feeling
That I have found my sweet love
Jesus is my whole Truth
And I will never tire
Of repeating until the end
My heart beats without stopping
There is one who has said to me
I truly love you
Jesus, my love
And more than love, my sweet peace
I never imagined I could find
The one who gave my life
A reason to love
Jesus, my love
And more than love, my sweet peace
And more than love, my sweet peace.

Hello dear Rosana! You've described it beautifully; that's the true meaning of charity, and from that unconditional love comes precisely everything that the average person believes the word means. This week's theme helps us remember that we must strengthen our love for others, which also leads us to help them, and the song you sing seems to be an example of perfect love, very much in line with the idea we want to project in the community. Congratulations on your great talent, always admirable!...

Hi Jesús!
I thought I should emphasize the deeper meaning of the word, since it explains many things we are capable of doing for others and that often we don't know where those good intentions and actions come from.
Thanks for your always motivating words. A big hug for you.
Hi,@rosana6 you really blessed me with your sound of your guitar 🎸 awesome 👍👋
Thanks so much! I'm glad to read that.
Blessings for you.
Wow what an amazing presentation you really did well more grace sir 👍💯
