Hello, beautiful people of Hive Open Mic! I greet you in week 294, which brings us together with the theme “Love at First Sight,” an expression that indicates the beginning of intense and unforgettable romances.
When we talk about love at first sight, we are referring to experiencing more than just attraction, but rather a strong, intense emotional bond with someone we have just met. It is said that we all have a soul mate, and when, in the course of life, we find that person, it is time to connect deeply, as if we had found our other half.
Today I want to present a cover of the song Azul, performed by Mexican pop singer Cristian Castro, from his album of the same name, released in 2001. This song tells us precisely about a love that was born one morning, suddenly, without warning, and became a ray of light in the lives of those in love. Although it is not so common, love can happen at first sight and last forever. I hope you enjoy this presentation.
¡Hola, gente hermosa de Hive Open Mic! Les saludo en la semana 294, en la que nos convoca con la temática “Amor a Primera Vista”, una expresión que nos indica el inicio de romances intensos e inolvidables.
Cuando hablamos de un amor a primera vista, nos referimos al hecho de experimentar más que una simple atracción un fuerte lazo emocional intenso hacia alguien que apenas acabamos de conocer. Se dice que todos tenemos un alma gemela, y cuando, en el trascurso de la vida, se llega a encontrar a esa persona es momento de conectarse profundamente, como quien halla su otra mitad.
Hoy quiero presentarles un cover de la canción Azul, interpretada por el cantante de pop mexicano Cristian Castro, perteneciente a su álbum homónimo, lanzado en el año 2001. Esta canción nos habla precisamente de un amor que nació una mañana, de repente, sin dar avisos, y llegó a ser un rayo de luz en la vida de esos enamorados. Aunque no es tan común, un amor puede darse a primera vista y durar para siempre. Espero que esta presentación sea de su agrado.

It's amazing how this song came into our lives in 2001 and stayed. I remember what a huge hit it was back then, and it still resonates even now. For me, it's quite a challenge to try and sing it in the original key, hahaha. The work you do here with both guitars and that subtle video editing is top-notch, and as always, an example for everyone here at Hive Open Mic to follow.
