Esta semana la temática sugerida es "Spotlight"(Destacar).
La primera canción que se me vino a la mente fue "My way" de Frank Sinatra.
Porque es una canción que hace un recorrido por la vida del protagonista quien nunca fue "del montón". Todas las cosas las hizo "a su manera" lo que se traduce en que se destacó, pues siempre marcó una diferencia.
Sin embargo, a los los pocos mintutos me vino la iluminación, me acordé de "Dancing Queen" (Reina Danzante) del maravilloso grupo rompe records "Abba".
"Dancing Queen" fue uno de los grandes éxitos mundiales de este grupo sueco y es una exaltación a la juventud, al amor por la música- A través de su personaje principal, una chica de diecisiete años que cuando baila se convierte en la reina de la noche, destaca entre todas, está pieza ha sido tomada como un himno a la música disco.
Hablar de la músia disco es remontarnos a las décadas de los 70 y 80, a la música que se bailaba en las discotecas en ambientes de semipenumbras o de luces de colores parpadeantes, es recordar aquella ropa extravagantes que muchos usaban para ir a bailar, sin negar el consumo de drogas que a veces acompañaba a esos bailes. Es recordar redadas policiales que caían de repente en esos sitios.
Recordar lo bueno pero también lo me os bueno que fue también parte de las vivencias de esa época.
Toda una subcultura se creó alrededor de ese término "Disco" .
Por otra parte, hablar del grupo Abba, es hablar de la primera vez que un grupo musical europeo se convirtió en un éxito sin precedentes, fuera de Europa.
Llegaron a América y la conquistaron... y le hicieron versiones en castellano a muchas de sus canciones. Formado por dos matrimonios, el grupo nos presentaba a cuatro excelentes vocalistas : dos damas muy bellas, dos jóvenes muy guapos , que cantaban haciendo "juegos de voces", su nombre se tomó de la inicial el nombre de cada integrante (Los nombres de ambos caballeros comenzaban por "B" ; Bjorn y Benny, mientras que las damas tenían nombres que comenzaban con "A" - Agnetha y Anni - Frid)

Cuando Abba se estaba dando a conocer en tdo el mundo tenía yo alrededor de diez años y fue un grupo cuya música me impactó sobremanera.
Recuerdo que una vez sacaron un reportaje completo sobre ellos en "Selecciones del Readers Digest", una respetable revista de ese tiempo que yo describiría como de formato pequeño pero de gran contenido.
Fue en dicho reportaje que supe detalles como el hecho de que Suecia ganaba más dinero con Abba que con su industria automotriz, supe detalles del museo de Abba, y de la increíble cantidad de discos vendidos. Esta cantidad luego siguió cmbiando y aumentando. Actualmente los numeritos nos indican que Abba ha vendido alrededor de 400 millones de discos en todo el mundo.

Los dos matrimonios que formaron el grupo Abba terminaron en divorcio y se dice que nunca hubo amistad entre las dos damitas, pero esos son los comunes "claroscuros" humanos que todos tenemos pero que en modo alguno disminuye el valor artístico de este grupo capaz de ser parte del favoritismo de varias generaciones.
Espero que mi versión de esta icónica canción, que encaja perfectamente en la temática solicitada, llegue a ser del agrado de todos ustedes.

A big shout out to all the musicians who are part of this Hiveopenmic community. Although I don't participate as often as I would like and should, when I do I enjoy it.
This week the suggested theme is "Spotlight".
The first song that came to mind was "My way" by Frank Sinatra.
Because it is a song that takes a tour of the life of the protagonist who was never "normal." He did all things "his way" which means he stood out, because he always made a difference.
However, after a few minutes enlightenment came to me, I remembered "Dancing Queen" by the wonderful record-breaking group "Abba".

When Abba was becoming known around the world I was around ten years old and it was a group whose music had a huge impact on me.
I remember that they once published a complete report on them in "Readers Digest Selections", a respectable magazine of that time that I would describe as small in format but with great content.
It was in said report that I learned details such as the fact that Sweden made more money with Abba than with its automotive industry, I learned details about the Abba museum, and the incredible number of records sold. This amount then continued to change and increase. Currently the numbers indicate that Abba has sold around 400 million records worldwide.

Sí, es muy interesante conocer el contexto de las canciones. La que se puso de moda en el año tal... ¿qué circunstancias ocurrían en ese momento? Esto es bueno. Sí 😊 no es el tipo de canción que traigo por acá normalmente, pero, sin embargo, me gusta bastante. Así como me gustan mucho las Milongas y los tangos y nunca he interpretado una pieza de ese género por acá. Están en mi zona "casera" de confort. Gracias por la visita y el apoyo.

Esa canción siempre me gustó mucho aunque no entendía qué decís, así que me gustó bastante cuando el mismo grupo ABBA la sacó en castellano. No sabía que eran suecos. Pensé va que eran de gringolandia. Muy bueno su trabajo. Suerte.
