🎵 Hive Open Mic 201 - WILLIAM – original song written & performed by @shemZee & Yavor

in Hive Open Mic3 months ago

Dear friends,
My mate Yavor /solo guitar /and I /vocals & rhythm guitar/ recorded an original song of mine called WILLIAM
In this song, I sing about feeling really lonely and wanting a connection that's special and deep. I use words like "awake" to show how I wish to be close to someone, not just physically but in a meaningful way.

I describe holding the sun and shadows fading in the rain to express a romantic idea of a strong and unbreakable bond. When I mention "William" for the rain, it's just a playful and personal touch to make it more interesting.

Characters like Jacqueline La Rock and a powerless man represent the idea of a love that seems hard to reach. The word "Alone" repeated at the end shows a strong feeling of being by oneself.
I also talk about time feeling different when you're with someone and when you're alone. The broken window, sad candle, and cold world describe a sense of loss or sadness.

I wrote this song to explore love and loneliness, using simple pictures and ideas to share a message about our feelings and experiences. I hope it makes you think and feel something too.

English translation of the lyrics:

Will you stay awake with me?
others tomorrow we'll be,
It's madness to believe in dreams

I won`t sleep with you, by my side,
holding the sun, in our own stride.
Beneath the rain, our shadows coincide.

And this rain, perhaps it's called William,
falling carelessly, in another life.
And this man, he's utterly frail,
Jacqueline La Roque before your eyes

Time with you speeds by,
Time without you ties,
the snare of tomorrow's bind,
around me, it winds.
And how cold the world seems,
a shore bereft of its streams,
a broken window, a candle mourns,
alone,
The sea is the final abode,
the return, a sad ode,
even the bell in my mind stays quiet, forlorn.

And this rain, perhaps it's called William,
falling carelessly, in another life.
And this man, he's utterly frail,
Jacqueline La Roque before your eyes
Will you stay awake with me?
others tomorrow we'll be,
It's madness to believe in dreams
And how cold the world seems,
a shore bereft of its streams,
a broken window, a candle mourns,
alone,
alone,
alone
ESPANOL
Queridos amigos,

No dormiré contigo, a mi lado,

solo,
solo,
solo.

The original Bulgarian lyrics:

Bravo! It really is a wonderful song and this new format with Yavor is very appealing to those of us who have been following your music in the community. The lyrics of the song are very intense and I love how you describe it and connect it to this week's theme. Nice man!...
