Hello Hive Open Mic community and all music lovers on Hive Blockchain, i am wealthwess and i’m so excited to be here this week of our weekly concert, we’re now in week 201 and the theme for this week is Clouds as chosen by our recent spotlight artist. However I’d be sharing a cover of a song by Celine Dion and the title is Ashes. Ashes, is an emotionally captivating ballad that resonates with the heart through the heartbreaking lyrics and soulful vocals. Penned by Petey Martin, Tedd Tjornhom, and Brian Spence, the song became a part of the Deadpool 2 soundtrack when it came out in 2018. However, many people remember Ashes from a comedic and action-packed movie, but it actually touches upon pertinent themes e.g. resilience, hope and authenticity of one’s character and identity. After all, Ashes shows us the power of vulnerability that can be found in the torn pages of the human spirit. Within the lyrics of this song, there is a story of conquering, breaking free from the limitations of past pain, and growing as a person. It makes us understand that despite the blackest of nights there is an inner spark that has the power to become the torch that clears our path from the ashes. That being said, this is an acapella cover by me but i do hope you’ll find it worthy of your time. So stay blessed as you listen.
