I remember when I was in the academe. There's a reading program called D.E.A.R. (drop everything and read). I looked it up and learned it's also celebrated as a reading day. Ahh those were the days. Today, I needed to do my own version -- drop everything and rest -- esp. after a couple of sleepless nights and at the end of a busy work day. I played my meditation music and just rested and even got to do a much needed power nap. 😴😴
Power naps help me a lot these days. I can't seem to bring myself to sleep at night. Boohoo! That's not the tough part. I have day work, so even if I do work from home, I still need to get up early. 😝 Oh sometimes I wonder why I do need sleep? 🙃 Mmmm triple choco cookies greeted me when my daughter arrived home from work. It seems she dropped by the stall that sells these delicious cookies before coming home. Ahhh comfort food.. sometimes you gotta love them. 💕

🤔 yes, doc. I'm quite aware that it's not good for the long term. I do try meditation and relaxing music that will help send me to sleep. 🙄 my mind's too noisy at times so I think that's the trouble that hinders my easy sleep.
