What Happy Customer Supermarket has done is create an enabling environment where an ordinary shopping trip becomes an opportunity to start a web3 adoption experience in the freedom blockchain - Hive!
Here is what I try to do for each new person that visits provided they have 10 minutes to spare.
- While they shop, I quickly use their device to create a Hive account for them, install Keychain and Ecency apps.
- By the time they are ready to check out, I show them how to Import the account in Keychain and setup their Hive profile in Ecency.
The two activities above take 4 minutes or less. Next is to Scan to pay with HBD and claim discount. Check the new user @chizzyice in the video above today, you can see how I guided her to do that in 3 minutes or less.
Finally, I show them that Hive has a cool place to quickly share a picture and talk about anything that matters to them similar to X. This platform is call Ecency Waves.
Within the next 3 minutes, I showed the above user how to upload a picture and add a description on Ecency Waves and she made her first micro-blog on Hive. And she was able to engage with all the comments on her thread. You can take a look with the link below:

That's it, 10 minutes is all that is needed to demonstrate what social blogging and crypto payment looks like. Oh - she also smiled when she saw her instant cash rewards.

Its really possible. Assuming its possible for every Hive stakeholder to onboard 1 person per day, and each person brings their friends/inner Circle, we can achieve mass adoption

Nice steps to onboard your customers
How do answer this question from one customer, the easiest way to deposit HBD on the new account for payment next time they come shop with you?
If they are into crypto, I help them learn how to withdraw Hive from exchanges like Binance into Hive.
But since majority are people outside crypto, I provide the HBD. I buy Hive/HBD from old Hive users in P2P. I also sometimes buy Hive from exchanges to keep a running supply of HBD.
