In this quick video, I show you how easy it is to change the PIN on your Hive debit card.
When I first set up my card, I chose a simple PIN — 1212 — but let’s be honest, sometimes you just want to update it, especially if someone might have seen it. Here’s what I did to change the actual PIN-Code of my Hive Debit Card.
I went to https://hivedebit.com, clicked “My Card” at the bottom right, and scanned my card. I entered my old PIN (1212) and selected the “Change PIN” option. Then I set a new one — 1414 in my case — and confirmed it by writing the new one to the card.
To test it, I tried a small $2 payment with the old PIN, which failed (as expected), and then with the new PIN, which went through instantly.

Could you point me somewhere to docs where I can read on how it actually work? I don't want to spoil the fun, I thought about two scenarios and both seems not the greatest ideas ;-) so maybe it's being done in a different way, idk, I tried to ask for some contact during meetup in Graz but nobody contacted me.
Yes, sure. The "Official" Technical Dokumentation you can find here: https://peakd.com/hivedebit/@hivedebit/hive-debit-technical-documentation

So the server stores signed transactions?
That are valid... for one hour?
With option to store them on card itself, it's better...
but also.. it will expire way too soon.
This looks like a inssufficiently thought-out attempt to port the system from another platform, without taking into account the specifics of Hive.
But at least that's the better option of those two bad ones ;-)
Or am I missing something?
Thank you sir for all these useful relevant informations. I will follow them up to get mine
