Great stuff!
Another USP/benefit people might look-over; 1 transaction cost per top-up.
In the traditional banking world, each transaction costs maybe 15 - 25 cents for both the spender as well as the receiver. If the average guest makes 8 transactions per stay, it will safe the owner at least $1.- per guest. Multiply this by the amount of guests that use the debit card per year and you just saved on banking transaction fees.
We don't charge for top up, maybe Zypto, but HiveDebit no
Yeah, I know. The banks charge per transaction, hotels need to register transactions for taxes. Instead of logging 8 single transactions, they log 1 or 2, depending on the situation per guest.
I don't get it
if you use your credit card to pay for things in a hotel for every transaction hotel is "losing" some of the money that goes to a bank.
that is some of the reasons shops here don't like when you buy few $ of stuff, like pack of cigarettes' with a card (they have a small margin and could even be at a loss because of the card fee)
