Hello everyone, spendhbd and distriator community on the hive blockchain, i will be giving a brief recap of the event of 1st October in warri delta that is to say the kids town workshop.
Actually before this time the coordinator in the Asaba office @calebmarvel24 and i was planning on how to go about the listing businesses and how to run workshops in warri and its surrounding cities and town but later told me to hold on that he is working on something so i actually held on and was waiting for him to respond so when he chatted me up that a business has been listed and a workshop will be held on the 1st of October and if i would be available and i said yes because at the time he chatted me i was already in warri town on a visit to my parents place in Airport , so said i yes . And he also asked if i can organize a team for onboarding i said no problem too
So few days to the set date he sent a link to a video on how to onboard using the checkinwith dapp to to watch and after which we did a video call on WhatsApp where taught me on how to go about it by opening a purchase account for me, by sharing our screens
So i started telling my friends, neighbours, my siblings and my parents and because of the closeness of the set date people were not really responding, of course they have other schedules, my parents and siblings talked with the close friends and i was able to raise a team to work with and scheduled a training for a day before the set date which was by 5pm Nigeria time which actually took place. So i put them through on how to the sign up new members on hive blockchain using the spendhbd and checkinwith dapps before they all left their various houses after agreeing to meet on the set date at our home by 8.00 am Nigeria time
So on the set date which was 1st October, the team actually come over except for two of them who waited for the rest of us at a particular point because of their location. And the entire team was made up of 13 persons including myself arrive at event centre Kids Town at Jeddo not too far from the Warri Refinery(NNPC) before 10:30 am Nigeria time and did a brief rehearsals and calebmarvel24 came and did a final touch to itsee
In cause of the event , it rained non stop also the local festival of the community of Jeddo fell on the same date and most business didn't open their shops this i later found out though. But we still went on with the event and did some registrations and they also got their cash back and crown it all my the were interested and got their purchase account opened too and because it was already getting late and the centre was about shutting down for the day they could not do the purchase but did their purchases on the 4th of October after the meet up meeting and when there were no other customers to attend to and they did their shopping and got their cash back except few of them .So the others did their shopping on Sunday 5th in the evening that was our last visit at event along side other customers present cos there were not much crowd, but there was a birthday party that evening where @calebmarvel24 took permission from the MC to address the people partying with kids after which our team attended to them individually explaining to them because of the timing of the Sunday most of the team members could not attend except fewseeandhere
After the event on 2nd i had to visit the coordinator @calebmarvel24 because he was staying back extra more days. So we discuss about the responsibilities be handed to me to coordinator the Warri team and i also told him about my interest becoming a trusted local guide and also permission to onboard new members to spendhbd on the checkinwith dapp by the team in charge of this project @spendhbd and @distriator and while there @calebmarvel24 also purchase some refreshments for with hbd payment me system and got a cashback
Then on the 3rd of October at about pass 8am Nigeria time i placed a to call to the coordinator @calebmarvel24 to know about his schedule for the day that i would love us to go round town to see some business that could accept hbd as their payment system too in addition to the naira payment our local currency and he said i should call him back around 9am because he would love to check his body system too if he could go out, and actually went out around 10am for we agreed to meet up at Akpan round about within that time. We went to Airport road stopped at K16 shopping mall, talked to some businesses there and headed over Opete where we also talked to some businesses and had a discussion with my younger sister who is interested in listing her business has no physical business place because she operates online shop which she runs from her homesee
