What do I have to bring

image.png

They say,

Rosarito, Baja California is like a hidden gem for young travelers! First, hit up the beaches, man! The waves are perfect for surfing, and the sunsets are Instagram-worthy. Don't forget to rent an ATV and ride along the sandy shores - it's a blast.

Next, dive into the local food scene. Tacos, seafood, and margaritas are a must. Try the fish tacos at any street vendor – they're legendary. Then, groove to the beats at one of the beachfront clubs, like Papas & Beer. It's party central!

For some culture, visit the Rosarito Beach Hotel. It's got history and charm, and the Sunday brunch buffet is insane. And last but not least, take a day trip to the nearby Valle de Guadalupe for wine tasting - it's like Napa Valley, but with a Mexican twist.

So, surf, eat, party, relax, and sip wine. Rosarito's got it all for a young traveler's dream getaway!

Rosarito, my wanderlust Hivian buddy, is like this rad coastal town in Baja California, Mexico. Picture it – it's about 20 miles south of the buzzing border city of Tijuana. So, if you're in SoCal, it's just a quick jaunt across the border.

It's got this primo spot on the Pacific Ocean's edge, making it a beach lover's paradise. You can literally hear the waves crashing from your hotel room.

And the best part? It's like the gateway to the Baja Peninsula. You can hit up all sorts of awesome spots from here, like Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe (wine country, baby!), and even venture further south if you're feeling adventurous.

So, Rosarito is like this sweet slice of Mexico's coastline, a chill escape from the daily grind, and a jumping-off point for epic Baja adventures. 🏖️🌮🚗

More clothes

Dressing up for September in Rosarito is a breeze, for all Hivians. It's still pretty warm, so think lightweight and casual. Grab your favorite t-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops because you're gonna be hitting those beach vibes.

Don't forget your shades and a cool hat to keep that Mexican sun at bay. And sunscreen, bro, you're gonna need it.

At night, it can get a bit chillier, so bring a light jacket or sweater just in case. And if you plan on hitting the clubs, something slightly dressier than beachwear is a good call.

Overall, keep it laid-back, stay comfortable, and soak in the sun and surf. September in Rosarito is all about that chill beach life! 🌞🌴👕🩳🕶️

Do I need a Sombrero

As I always try to add some local style, this question came to my mind. It might be useful to be on stage while giving my speech. ;-)

image.png

Wearing a sombrero in Mexico is like adding a pinch of fiesta to your style! These big, wide-brimmed hats are not just for looks – they're practical too. They shield you from the blazing sun, and when it rains, you're basically walking around with your own portable umbrella.

But here's the deal, amigo: don't rock a sombrero like a costume. Locals wear them with pride, so show some respect. You'll find them in all kinds of colors and patterns, so pick one that speaks to your soul.

Wearing a sombrero in Mexico is a nod to the country's rich culture. So, embrace it, snap some cool pics, and tip your hat to the awesome vibes of Mexico! 🇲🇽👒✌️

So, I guess I need one...
But which style?
Who can help??

Diving in Rosarito

I heard that diving there is like diving into an underwater wonderland. The Pacific Ocean here is teeming with marine life, and the diving spots are epic. You'll spot colorful fish, maybe some playful sea lions, and even kelp forests that feel like something out of a dream.

But here's the deal: it's not for total beginners. You gotta know your stuff or go with a certified dive instructor. The currents can be tricky, but they make for some thrilling drift dives.

One word: Shipwrecks! Rosarito's got a couple of sunken ships you can explore. It's like discovering a piece of history beneath the waves.

And the water, man, it's crystal clear! So, don't forget your underwater camera. Snapping pics of those underwater critters is a must.

So, if you're into adventure and underwater beauty, Rosarito's diving scene is calling your name. Dive in and experience the magic beneath the waves! 🌊🐠🤿

OK, I add my light and my GoPro to the luggage I pack. There might be a chance for a nice dive with some other experienced Hive divers around

What NOT TO DO in Rosarito

OK, as I traveled a lot on this planet, there might be some special rules in each area. So, let's talk about what NOT to do in Rosarito. First up, don't be a litterbug. Keep those beautiful beaches clean, man! Nobody wants to sunbathe next to your garbage.

Also, don't be that loud, obnoxious tourist. Respect the locals and their way of life. And don't even think about disrespecting the local cuisine by insisting on American fast food. You're in Mexico, bro, eat some real tacos!

Oh, and here's a big one: don't forget your ID. If you plan on hitting the bars, you better have your ID handy, or you won't be partying with the tequila.

Lastly, don't flash your wealth. Keep your bling and fancy gadgets on the low, so you don't attract any unwanted attention. Keep it chill, be respectful, and you'll have an awesome time in Rosarito, no problemo! 😎🇲🇽✌️

Enjoy, that is the best plan of all!

Ahhhh you are going! I envy you!

And sombrero and swimming trunks and I think you are good to go!

Ahhhh, love to chat with you there.

Damn, than we need to schedule a meetup here somewhere in BeNeLuxGer.

What about your thong? Beer drinking European thongs wearer’s is imperative 😂

Ohh, ship wreck diving….that sounds awesome. I’ve got my PADI, but it’s been many years since my last dive. Sounds like a fun after Hivefest dive is calling my name!
Nos vemos pronto Amigo! Good luck picking out the sombrero. ✊

I'm sure you'll have a great time and I hope you can do some diving.

Respecting the locals ought to be obvious, but some people do need telling. I'd hope most Hivers are courteous anyway
