Last night was day 0 of Hivefest, or maybe -1 as there was no Hive interaction really. However being Barcelona, a very diverse but also teach savvy city. There is always something to do here. Specially for people like me, with particular taste, and ideas on having a good time.
One thing that I was able to find many different events going on in the city. All of them that I really want to take part on. So the question was more about where would I want to be going tonight. Much rather than if there was anything good. So one thing that I really decided, the AI summit is an event that is going to take place after Hivefest. However there was an expat community throwing a warm up party before the event.
At the same time there was a Python event which also had an interesting spin around AI. Unfortunately for me, the attendance was all locked out and I decided this one was more open and able to talk about different tech like Blockchain. Here is were my hive angle played through.
I enjoyed different conversations and questions from people that either knew a small bit about Blockchain or none. They were surprised about the idea of give and how important it was to escape the mainstream social network platforms and be able to own digital information without having to constantly be paying for it. Like a hosting space or a domain.
There was also other discussions about the future of online business with crypto and agents. To have agents take over your buying and selling of goods and services outside of the banks and state regulations. Be able to do free online business on the net without requiring a bank and also finance our offline life in the process. My guess is that agents can sort out those complexities and start using the tech as an interface to interact with the offline world.
All interest ideas that might draw a future and requirements of what we need to live on the near future.
