🎤 Another Round of New Speakers Just Announced

We’re thrilled to welcome five new speakers who bring a wide range of energy, ideas, and experience into the HiveFest × ChainCulture jungle.

1. Jason Chew — Bitcoin Educator & Founder, BTC Education Hub
Jason has delivered over 500 talks to more than 100,000 people, helping Malaysians understand Bitcoin and blockchain in simple, relatable terms. In his session “The Bitcoin Race”, he explores why Bitcoin treasuries represent one of the biggest untapped opportunities of this decade. Ps: BTCEducationHub is hosted an event on Saturday 18th of October: How to run a bitcoin node.

2. Joseph Kennedy — Head of Marketing, Alephium
A tier-one Web3 ghostwriter turned L1 marketing lead, Joseph blends sharp insight with fearless honesty. In his lightning talk “Corporate L1s Scare Me — They Should Scare You Too”, he unpacks how big players like Google and Circle risk turning Web3 into decentralized theatre.

3. Han (Superteam Malaysia) — DevRel, Solana Ecosystem
Representing Superteam Malaysia, Han helps Solana developers and creators earn, grow, and build. His work focuses on empowering local builders to navigate the global Web3 space.

4. Ada Hew — President, CH90
As the driving force behind CH90, Ada connects Malaysia’s Chinese-speaking Web2 community with the Web3 world. Her organization has grown into one of the most inclusive blockchain education hubs in the region — fostering innovation, openness, and sustainable community growth.

5. Hilal Agil — Founder, Tenzro
Hilal is a product designer and technologist on a mission to make distributed AI and blockchain infrastructure more secure, verifiable, and accessible. Through Tenzro, he’s building tools for the next generation of applications that combine AI, compliance, and decentralization.

🔥 HiveFest on (Steam)

Momentum is building. The HiveFest x ChainCulture RSVP list is filling up fast and DMs keep rolling in. Some of you are already dusting off your tropical shirts and booking flights. Some are already in KL!

If you can’t make it for the full five-day program, ChainCulture, our free and public Day 2 (RSVP!), is shaping up to be a community-powered crossover of Web3 scenes. It’s happening Friday 17 October at the Glasshouse @ Seputeh.
👉 RSVP here: lu.ma/ssjsklzg

🗓 Change of Plans: Batu Caves moved to Saturday!

After syncing with a few HiveFest planners and local guides, we’re moving the Batu Caves field trip to Saturday 19 October — same plan, just one day earlier.

This means you’ll also have the option to join #BeerSaturday, Hive’s longest-running social tag turned IRL meetup. It frees up your Sunday for self-organized KL adventures, chill time, or sleeping in after an intense week. Before we meet for closing dinner and drinks, but hey far away from that right!

Suggested Sunday plans still floating around:

  • Go-karting
  • Petronas Towers & city strolls
  • Low Yat Plaza (for gadget lovers)
  • Or just wander and let the city surprise you 🌆

🏮 DAOs BAOs BEERs: Post Conf Day 1 Mixer

After HiveFest Conference Day 1 (Thursday 16th), keep the vibes flowing with a relaxed walk through Petaling Street Market, the colorful heart of Chinatown Kuala Lumpur. After a bit we’ll settle in for casual food and drinks at the DAOS BAOS BEER Mixer — think bao, beer, talk dao.

DAOs BAOs Beer is happening in a upper bar resto near the Instagram-famous Kwai Chai Hong alleyway — a restored heritage lane filled with neon lights, murals, and cafes. It’s one of KL’s most photogenic corners so bring your selfie stick, drones and Leica Soforts!

🏁 Final Stretch

HiveFest kicks off Wednesday 15 October with welcome drinks, followed by two conference days, excursions, and a Sunday closing celebration.

🎟 Tickets + full schedule → hivefe.st
💥 Friday-only RSVP (free) → lu.ma/ssjsklzg

If you’re paying in HIVE or HBD, you still qualify for the discounted 1,500 MYR rate — thanks to our community sponsors.

Let’s meet in Kuala Lumpur. The jungle is calling.

Good to know there will be a healthy lineup of speakers. Just wish they could keep their topics relevant to Hive and not be a general commercial for other platforms.

Roland, it says content not available?
(I am reading from ecency app)

I always encourage people to use a front-end agnostic links that looks like this in markdown:
[nice link](/@roelandp/welcome-to-the-jungle-hivefest-conf-day-2-goes-green-chainculture-heads-to-glasshouse-kuala-lumpur), that looks like this:
nice link
i.e. without domain name, just starting with first /, which makes it redirect people within app of their choice, FYI @roelandp

I didn't know about this, thanks! I manually delete the domain and type the domain I wanted to view the link in. Now I know I can save the headache for someone else :)

yes that is very nice, most ui's do replace them with their own links already tho?

However this one I used a "highlight" text to link to the paragraph on the specific page and somehow got beyond the ecency translator. So yeah here it is!

but just using the / for TLD is great tip @gtg!

Good catch, we will check this new way of linking 😳 on website it works though

The lineup just keeps getting better! Can’t wait to hear these speakers share their insights at HiveFest!

I wish so badly I could be there, but I’m just too broke, and flights are not cheap from Canada.
If I had funding, I’d for sure be there to talk about SkateHive, and our future plans!

Congratulations @roelandp! Your post has been a top performer on the Hive blockchain and you have been rewarded with this rare badge

It looks like a good line up 😉👍🏾 hope someone is going to address the problem with bad downvoters 🙏🏾

We must be able to speak openly about this problem 🤝🏾

What fun. I wish I could attend. What fun. I wish I could attend. It sounds as though you've all put in a lot of effort to making a spectacular event. Enjoy it!
