It's very refreshing to hear a balanced take (as opposed to overly-ecstatic "it was amazing" posts). It can be brilliant, but also not so much depending on personality type, demeanor, and just plain luck sometimes. I certainly remember feeling quite awkward and out of place at the first one, and a little in the beginning of the one last year. Then again, I think this raises a problem we deal with on Hive more broadly (and perhaps don't address very well) - bridging the connection gap for people who are more quiet, shy, or perhaps just less pushy.

I'm glad you had your moment there though and from the pictures, it seems you had a nice time :) I'm honestly glad.

Totally relatable. I think we are doing a better job than many other major crypto events. Crim and I had a conversation about those that she showed up to, the entire show was tradfi oriented or everyone selling their stuff.

So lovely to celebrate all your amazing progress, @techcoderx!! 🥳I enjoyed our time together in Split and again in Kuala Lampur.

Thank you so very much for the mention and including a photo of @bitterirony & me in your beautiful post.

It’s a nobody’s fault, the tendency, but you delicately addressed an easy problem to solve—that if an attendee is new to HiveFest &/or hasn’t yet had their breakout on Hive, it can be unexpectedly difficult to get invited into conversations.

You are kind to mention it so gently. I wonder what we can do to close the gap and make all feel seen and heard.

Good luck in this next year of your Hive Career.
Much love!! 🥰

It highly depends on their personality. Some like me are not very comfortable with unfamiliar people. Most people attending conferences often have a mission in mind and that's something to look into.

In KL, I read this book on the side to help with a social anxiety that I experience sometimes—especially at events predominantly attended by men.

You are also a very good photographer! It was nice to meet you even though it was at the last part of the closing drink 😆

Thanks :) Phone kinda struggles with low light. 3 of them are post-processed to remove excessive noise, can you spot them? 😄

Wah, you have photos with everyone... It's nice to have chit chat with you, may be later will have long chat.

Roughly half of them isn't exactly everyone 😄

Your presentation was awesome (great slides) & I learned so much from the way you present it. It was also nice to have a small chit-chat with you during the opening drinks. Once again, nice to meet you!

An incredible experience for everyone in the Hive community. I hope to attend someday. Thanks for sharing.
