I was lucky. When I decided to write, finally, I joined a writer's group at the local library. It was my great fortune that the gentleman who led the group was an angel. He was gentle, informed, kind. He would bring his wife to the class. She evidently had Alzheimer's, but was somehow integrated into the group. There, and not there. Quite happy. What better place to find my courage to write? Here is a video of him giving a reading. A birder, a naturalist, a former journalist, a poet and an all around good guy.

Ah, libraries, I hope we can keep them, they are so important.
I'm sitting in a designere's studio waiting while they finish an urgent job, so I'll have a look at the video when I'm back home.
