RE: One of my Hive 2022 Goals Achieved - Preparing for two Weeks of Travel [EN - FR]

Well done. and enjoy your trip and keep safe.
your choice of the book El Guanaco caught my attention. I will investigate.
I travelled extensively through Patagonia and lived in Argentina for nearly 7 years (about half of it in Mendoza, right at the foot of the Andes) Guanacos were always there when I hiked or on horseback across the Andes and I learned to recognize their "relincho" which is when the alpha male alerts the rest of the group of any danger. beautiful creatures.

Thanks you a lot ! I'm already in the train :D

The author is Francisco Coloane, one of my favorites ! His stories took me in those landscapes and actions...

Wow, that must have been pretty intense to arrive in Europe after a long experience like this, no ?
What you're telling here makes me want to read it even more !

Take care and have a great week ✌️

I read several books prior, during and after my travels in that part of the world and I would love to try finding this one. I never heard of Francisco Coloane and with your recommendation, I am curious.
thank you !
If it is this part of the world that interests you, one favorite is "uttermost part of the earth" by Lucas Bridges.
another is "In Patagonia" by Bruce Chatwin.

I’ve to look for Chatwin, never read despite I’ve always been curious about him and his works !

Thanks you for sharing those tittles :)
