This will be my first write up post here and I am super excited about this topic that reminds me of my life as a child. There were many games I played with my childhood friends and neighbor when I was young.
The first was tyre rolling, tyre rolling is just a kick and follow style of game as all the children in the neighborhood will gather together in an open space which is meant for local football pitch or at times it may on the street, everybody holding is own tyre and it is always a motorcycle tyre with small stick in hands ready to start a race, then, it always like a competition where we get to choose the first, second and the third winners of the race but no descrimination everyone happy as a child we are, but to be honest sometimes it turns to fight and you understand how we children use to behave but it fun anyway.
Another rubber band throwing, I could not forget this, we use to play this in two to four children, we stay side by side with a measured distance throwing this band one by one by each person and the winners will always be the one that throws the band, and the band fall successful on the others bands on ground, he wins and pack all the bands on the ground until each quantity of each a player band looses it to the winners, it is very exciting and some times it use to causes ruckus cos you won't be happy loosing your bands. I do remember this that if you want the band bigger than the size we do put it inside kerosene to expand the size, so that when you are playing you are at the advantages of winning.
Another fun game I will love to mention for the fact that I still have many in my memories that I can't talk about now. Thats "boju boju" in Yoruba and in English it called hide and seek, we children gather to sing, one person has to choose as a seeker and must be blind folded for others to go and hide, after then , shouting have you hide, should I start and they all said yes, then he or she unfold and start looking for them the first person to be seen will be blind folded child for the same method as repeatedly, it is very funny cos you see children hiding in different corners of the house, in the cabinet, in the bin, under step, inside toilet, under cushion chair and so on.
Those days are of great sweet memories that reminds me of days with no pressure, no burdens, no worries and anxiety, just eat,be happy and play with friends. That's the most beautiful stages of life.
