If there is something that I want to change right now it is to change the way I write.
I really envy those people who can write fiction stories, love stories, fantasy stories, horror stories any stories that are just made up in their mind. That is something that I haven't done yet, and that is something that I really want to try. I'm not sure if I'm not imaginative enough or it's just that I'm not confident with myself that I can't make one.
The first time that I have invited to write was a year ago. A friend told me that I should try to write articles, but honestly during those times that he is convincing me, I know in myself that I can't write articles. Ever since my school days, I hated writing essays, not because I don't know how to write because anyone can write as long as they want it, but I think that's the problem with me back then. I just don't want to write and I don't want to try it. Yep, I'm a lil stubborn on things that I don't like to do.
Until such time I read some monthly updates on how much they are earning through writing.
I will not be a hypocrite and deny the reason why I'm really here, of course, I'm here to earn and that willingness to earn just like what others are earning is the one that motivated me to try it. That willingness became my turning point.
That willingness to earn more made me change my mind from I can't do it to I can do it too. A change that I have to work on.
So if earning motivates me to write, it can also motivate me to try writing fiction stories too. I just have to take the initiative to learn how to do it.
Have to take that first step that always looks and feels unfamiliar however, no matter how it looks and feels unfamiliar I have to try it.
I think everyone knows that the first step is always hard, I may not know yet where and when to start but I hope soon I can write that story. And when it happens you guys will be the first ones to read it.

My fictional journey started here. I read a post whereby someone started a story, then the penny just dropped. The rest of the story developed in my mind and from there it just came 'naturally'.
Wishing you all the best and perhaps just try toying with some ideas, or, if you have a basic concept in mind, feel free to share.
Thanks for that! Actually, I can picture the story that I want to put... just having a hard time how to put it into writing and how to start.

yep, just jump right in... myself it takes me weeks to get the story right for even only a "normal" blog here. hehehe
i wonder how many weeks before I can finish one fiction story... I have pictures already... just have to make the storyline :)
the rhythm i have is like... first brainstorming and let it out what's in the brain. secondly reread and changing to a proper languages, since my brainstorm often makes no sense. third reread and adapt the story so it makes sense. fourth reread and adapt the story that it will be readable and not boring the heaven out of others... and so on and on until i feel, wow, i would stop by and read that. 😁 some stories are templates since a view years already. hahahahaha
I think my next step then is to brainstorm since I've already had photos that will guide my story... and I need to decide what kind of story I want to do first. Think with the photos I have it will be a bit of fantasy... hmm sharing your rhythm helps me already.. weee thanks for that!!!
hehehe, awesome... maybe i add that sometimes it helps me to start with two simple phrases who "explain" the whole story Have Fun Eylz!

I very seldom write fiction stories too. Not sure if I have enough creative juices to thrive in that niche. But I do, from time to time, depending on my mood and if there's an inspiration that got tickled inside my stubborn brain. 😅 Minsan poetry din, but I think the last poem I wrote here was years ago already. Basta, depende sa mood.
i can do some poetry but keeping that all to myself unless there's some inspiration out there... hahaha those i think may nashare ako before sa noise

I’m not much a fiction writer either. And I don’t even aspire to be. 😀
But I’m part of a women’s writing group that meets weekly. Part of the practice is a prompt and a timed write (usually 12-15 minutes).
I wonder if you could find some prompts to get you started?

I have always found it difficult to write fiction stories. However, I like to read other people's stories and I always have good ideas for reading other people's fiction work in progress. My husband and his screenwriter friends always like me to read their work and make suggestions. So maybe if I tried something would come out. But it's something that doesn't come naturally to me although lately, I like to tell events from the past by adding some fiction to them. Maybe that will work for you to get started. I think the best thing we can do is to find our own style. Some people are good at imagination, others are good at reportage, others at recounting their lives, and so on. And I think the best thing to do is not to pigeonhole ourselves, to explore and find our own personal style.
And I know you can do whatever you set up too.

I follow a lot of writers on Twitter and now on Hive. Follow a mixture of people across different writing disciplines. It can help. I’ve started writing something in the past and then forgotten about it, if I go through my notes on my Mac, I’ll no doubt find them all again. So jotting down ideas whenever they occur is always worth doing. My grandma taught me that and it still sticks in my head.
