The diverse responses showed just what an eclectic group our Silver Bloggers are!

Growth
The Silver Bloggers Community continues to grow and now stands at over 1,7k members. We keep on getting new delegations - a big thank you as this boosts our account and in turn our voting power.

Before we get to our May theme, we especially think of our dear @fionasfavourites whose husband has been in ICU for the past 10 days. Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers; hugs and strength to you Fiona, and healing for your man who is fighting the battle of his life.

Education
I'm not sure if I'm just talking for myself, but I believe many of us have no idea which subjects the current curriculum in primary education covers.
Unless you still have children at school, or help your grandchildren with homework.
Do they still use that word? Is it allowed?
One has to be so careful to be politically correct in this day and age, or you could find yourself in the naughty corner of a courtroom.
I imagine teachers educators are not allowed to do that to scholars learners in school these days?
So, back to this month's topic:
We want to hear about Education.
- The Future - what would be your ideal curriculum for the next generation?
AND/OR - Call back the Past - funny stories or life lessons learned.
Back to the world we live in today, Spring has sprung in the northern hemisphere, while here in South Africa, we are still basking in the sun, but the intense heat has made way for glorious balmy golden Autumn days.

How to enter your post for the Blog of the Month (#BoM) - the criteria remain the same -
- Posts must be in English and obviously centre on the week’s theme or topic.
- Prose must be a minimum of 350 words. If it’s a photo or graphic essay, the photos must be your original work and preferably with some sort of back-story to the images.
- The blog must be posted in/from our community
- The account must be a subscribed Silver Blogger
- Use #BoM - blog of the month - as your first tag.
- Share the link to your entry in the comments of this post.
Consider following the #BoM tag so that you can easily find, upvote, and comment on other contributions.

The updated community description is a guide to content we welcome in the Silver Bloggers' Community. Folk who post content that doesn't jive, will be encouraged to find an alternative and more comfortable space in which to play.

Greetings to all the young souls with wise bodies of this beautiful community, a special hug to the silver bloggers @fionasfavourites and best wishes for the recovery of her husband.
The theme of this month I love it, because I worked many years in education and I am concerned about how education is being carried out today in my country, also for some time I like to remember my childhood as a kind of mental exercise to not forget, I crime myself seeing my vows already without color when I was a child.

On powerng down - I never powered down until Covid lockdowns closed our bnb, then was forced to. So, all was ok then and I was so thankful that Hive came to my rescue, but when I needed money for medical expenses last year, and powered down, I suddenly lost support from the bigger accounts. Doesn't seem fair when one works hard here, try to HODL, but get penalized when you're in a pickle!
