Hello, friends of #SilverBlogger, I don't think I've ever created content for this community before, but my parents, who are part of this beautiful Hive ecosystem, told me about this initiative. I had the opportunity to see their contributions and those of other Hivers, so I wanted to share my own experience and talk specifically about a trend that, although it disappeared for a long time, has been making a comeback. So here I am, ready to join the #sb-chronicles.
Hola, amigos de #SilverBlogger, creo que nunca antes había creado contenido para esta comunidad, pero mis padres, que forman parte de este hermoso ecosistema de Hive, me hablaron de esta iniciativa, tuve la oportunidad de sus participaciones y la de otros hivers, así que yo también quise contar mi propia experiencia y hablar específicamente de una tendencia que, aunque se fue por mucho tiempo ha estad regresando, de modo que aquí estoy, lista para incorporarme al #sb-chronicles.
I was born in 1985, right in the middle of the 1980s, so I hardly enjoyed the sweetness of that decade. I mean, I didn't do so consciously, because I can remember very little about those times. My earliest memories date back to when I was about two years old (1987), but they are very vague. By 1989, when I was four, I remember much more, and one of the things I liked most when my mom dressed me and got me ready to go out was when she combed my hair into two pigtails. I don't know what you think, but that was a very cute trend for girls at that time, which unfortunately has disappeared today. I hardly see anyone combing their daughters' hair like that anymore, which is a shame because it looks so cute. But something else that was also a trend back then and is making a comeback now is the coquette style: lace dresses, satin ribbons to adorn the hair, and white strappy shoes (the girls looked like Victorian dolls 🤗).
Yo nací en 1985, plena mitad de los años 80, así que casi no disfruté de las mieles de esa década, me refiero a que no lo hice de manera consciente, pues es muy poco lo que puedo recordar de esos tiempos. Mis primeros recuerdos se remontan a cuando yo tenía unos dos años de edad (1987) pero son recuerdos muy vagos, ya para 1989, cuando yo tenía 4 años recuerdo mucho más, y una de las cosas que más me gustaba a la hora de que mi mamá me vistiera y arreglara para salir, era que me peinara con dos colitas, no sé qué opinan ustedes pero esa fue una tendencia muy bonita en las niñas de esa época que lamentablemente ha desaparecido hoy en día, ya casi no veo a nadie peinar a sus hijas así, y es lamentable porque ellas se verían muy tiernas. Pero algo que también era una tendencia en esa época pero que sí está regresando ahora, es el estilo coquette: los vestidos con encaje, las cintas de razo para adornar el cabello y los zapatitos blancos de correas (las niñas parecían muñequitas victorianas 🤗)
Something that was very common at that time but is unthinkable today because, frankly, it looks AWFUL 😱😄 is bangs over the forehead, but it's not that bangs looked bad as such that people don't wear bangs today, but rather that in the 90s, volume in hair was still trendy, as it had been in the 80s. So bangs looked fluffy when you had curly hair and combed it. Hair ribbons were still a trend that I liked, but that type of bangs was not.
Algo que era muy común en esa época pero es impensable al día de hoy porque francamente se ve ESPANTOSO 😱😄 es el flequillo sobre la frente, pero no es que el fleco se viera mal como tal quela gente no use fleco hoy en día, sino que en los años 90 aún era tendencia el volumen en el cabello, como en los 80. entonces el fleco se veía esponjado cuando tenías el cabello rizado y lo peinabas 😄. Las cintas en el pelo seguían siendo una tendencia de mi gusto, pero ese tipo de flequillo no.
I loved those ribbons, bows, and decorations my mom used to adorn my hair, and if you look closely, all my cousins wore them too, because it was a trend, and it's nice that it's coming back now, although it was much more popular last year, but I think it will last for a long time.
Yo amaba esos lazos, cintas y adornos con los que mi mamá adornaba mi cabello, y si se fijan bien, todas mis primas también lo llevaban, porque precisamente era una tendencia, y es lindo que esto esté regresando actualmente, aunque estuvo mucho más activa el año pasado, pero creo que durará por un buen tiempo.
By 1997, when I was 12 years old, a trend that I really liked and would love to see come back started to return: pants that began to widen below the knee all the way down, which people popularly called “wide-leg pants.” But also high hairstyles (high ponytails that made a kind of “tower” in the hair). Ignore my bangs and my poker face 😄
Ya para 1997, cuando yo tenía 12 años empezó a regresar una tendencia que me gustó muchísimo y que me gustaría que regresara ahora, los pantalones que se empezaban a ensanchar por debajo de la rodilla hasta abajo, y que la gente popularmente llamaba "Pantalones de bota ancha" pero también los peinados altos (colas altas que hacían como una especie de "torre" en el pelo) Ignoren mi flequillo y mi cara de Poker 😄
Fashion trends come and go because they appeal to nostalgia. Maybe someone decided to dust off their old outfits and then everyone copied their style, and that's a beautiful thing because it helps us go back in time or simply connect with old trends from eras we didn't even live through. Coquette fashion is beautiful because it enhances femininity, but nowadays it's not only worn by girls, but also by women, and although I don't usually wear it anymore, I think the girls who do wear it look beautiful. Las tendencias de la moda van y vienen porque apelan a la nostalgia, quizá alguien por allí decidió desempolvar sus viejos outfits y luego todo el mundo le copió el estilo, y eso es algo muy lindo porque nos ayuda a regresar en el tiempo o simplemente conectar con las viejas tendencias de épocas que ni siquiera vivimos, la moda coquette es hermosa porque realza la feminidad, pero hoy en día no solo la usan niñas, sino mujer, y aunque ya no suelo usarla pienso que las chicas que sí la usan se ven hermosas. Gracias de todo corazón por permitirme formar parte de esta #sb-chronicles 🤗 😊
