FWIW a disgusting amount of job listings are for roles they already have somebody lined up for. They post the listing to tick the legal boxes and prevent the appearance of nepotism, but they don't even look at the resume's.

I am unfortunately all too aware of this practice. I also know that some places overcharge their clients to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars, then push their workers to finish faster to save even more money. I get promised 8 hour shifts but end up only doing 4 while they get bonuses from the profits.
To keep this somewhat positive, I went for an interview today for a job that, if I am successful, will help me out a lot.
