A Second...
Hmmm, the other day i was the first time here on #ttt and it somehow is dangerously addictive. Probably because it's about #music after all - which, when you know my stories a little, was/is and always will be my first love.
So what should this second time be about ? Do i just tap into my favourite tunes or should i be a bit more specific on the chosen ones ? Old, new ? What genre ? Talking to myself here...
Maybe i just start at the beginning, but that would be classical and i do not want that for my second. So, may i just start with my first ever 33' Vinyls i had as a child... Yeah, that sounds reasonable !
The Beginning of my Collection

Supertramp
It all began with my godfather, dad's twin brother, who felt sorry for me because there were only two types of music in our household: classical (my father's collection) and Mireille Matthieu (my mother's favourite at the time).
His gift to my seventh anniversary was a turntable and the album of one of his favourite bands - Supertramp's "Crime of the Century". He thought that since i'm playing the clarinette this might be something i enjoy. And he was right... personally i liked that, the title was like a little message to my family's collection. 😏
IMHO here's the absolute best of that album:

ELO
So my uncle actually started a very good thing... 'cause now i got for nearly all my birthdays albums of "modern" bands. In the year following it was one of THE bands who changed my way of listening and playing music all along. I guess ELO2 even made me somehow make peace with my dads addiction to the classical music, since Beethoven was one of his favourites.
With this album i started following especially Jeff Lynne and to "whatever" comes out of his workings... One big genius producer.
Here's my favourite of the album at the time:

Status Quo
Now here we go with my first ever album i bought with my own money. My best friends brother was a huge fan of Rock Music. Often enough we finished at his place to listen to his brothers collection... many good Rock'N'Roll music i "met" there.
There was one song from the '74 album "On the Level" i had to have. It was put on my birthday-wish-list without luck - too much "noise" as my father stated. The rebel i already was, i used some of my 'savings' to get it anyway.
Here we go with that song:
Ha, re-reading this post i got the feeling i might come in more often to join the #threetunetuesday tag. It's fun to stir my memory pot of all the excellent music i heard... it sure was ages since i listened to these tunes. Also as a plus for my Silverblogger Chronicles, which is a good thing - i guess.
Now...
About Three Tune Tuesday
...by @ablaze
For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday... the jist is as follows:
Every Tuesday ablaze is going to share 3 songs which he likes to listen to and he invites us for our feedback in the comments. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention him in the post and he'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use the #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what he uses when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize.
So, please go over there to follow and support this awesome-sauce...

The “true” way of a community is to support each other, since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can.
It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish pointless Down-Voters. I thank you for all the support you give, anywhere !

Ah yes Breakfast in America I remember and then ELO and Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells all around the same time if I remember. I was at boarding school when the older boys played all these!
Great to see you get addicted mad bro. Look at me, it has been 6 days since I last posted, but I can't miss a ttt!
Hehehe... junkie! :smirk:
