Hm, do i really have the courage to talk about this... Okee okee, here we go for the fun of participating in the Silver Bloggers Chronicle #20 and especially for Lizzie to have a laugh about Hair Styles from wayyyyy back. 😬

Hair-dress Trends
It was in the 80's when it started. Since the flower power seventies where starting many trends, especially in the way we dressed ourselves, obviously it changed our way to "make" the hair... ha.
Just after the army service i had the need to let my hair grow. I needed to change "my" style for something different after the Army's forced short-hair-cut.... at the same time i signed a contract to become a "professional" DJ in a small discotheque somewhere in the middle of Nowhere - Switzerland. It was a place for the typical eighties sound, with a good lean on hard rock. Quite okay for my "gusto". So i went to an "old" school friend who just started her own hair dressing business, asking her for an idea. And she sure had some ideas i can tell you that. Today i think it was because of her fiery Italian roots.

"Coup de Soleil"
It all started with a "Coup de Soleil", which in English the hairdressers call "sun-kissed or sunlit highlights"... it's a coloring technique that makes parts of the hair lighter/blond, imitating how sunlight would lighten it. Yeah, that makes you laugh... i know. But be assured, it will even get better.
While my hair was growing, since that was what i wanted, my hairdresser friend wasn't toooo happy about the idea. Sure i got that, long hair - less cutting and that wasn't helping her business. Hehehe! Then one day, when the hair was already "falling" on to my shoulders, she came up with another idea... 😩

Now you can start laughing 'til your tummy hurts...

You all remember the British pop singer Limahl from the band "Kajagoogoo"!? (to me one of that one-day-flies you can find in pop music history and probably because of his hairstyle) Long story short... my hair-dress friend was a huge fan of that guy and wanted me to try that haircut.
In my defense, if that even helps a bit, it really was that time "everbody" had that haircut... especially footballers. So i said: "Okay, let us try that one..."
Hair dressing histories worst style ever... IMNSHO. I can't even remember how the fecking feck i was able to walk around with something like that on my head and that for about two years. Sure i was under a spell or drugged somehow... and i'm not talking about "MaryJane" doing her thing here at all.

Help after reading
Now go and have some chamomile tea, it will help to relieve the inflammation in your tummy. You may also put a warm compress on your abdomen to relax the cramps you now have after all the laughing.

Tipping is a way to show that you appreciate the work ! Thank you !
The “true” way of a community is to support each other, since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can.
It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish pointless Down-Voters. I thank you for all the support you give, anywhere !

Haha, what are you talking about, that was a groovy hairstyle Dude🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha... i know you have to say that. 😁
Being a DJ must have been a great experience; I'm sure I would have loved to play music to liven up parties. I'm sure you looked great with that hairstyle in your long hair. Thanks for sharing, my friend @mondoshawan . A big hug from Maracay.
We're embarrassed about it now, but that was the fashionable haircut, and everyone had it. At home, I wore my eyebrows as thin as a thread; all the women were the same. It was the style, even though it seems awful now.
😬😳 okay... yep. I remember those. Though that women do these "fashion" things until today and probably forever i will never understand. Making something beautiful ugly. 🤷 Something went horribly wrong long long time ago and to me the males are one reason to this dilemma. 😬😎
Thanks a lot for passing by and leaving a comment. Much appreciated!

Ha ha! Thank you for the laughs, Dude. 😆😆
I remember hat haircut was very popular in the 80s for boys and girls, haha. The girls with the bigger bangs but nooo, I didn't wear it, my hair wasn't suitable for it. LOL
With pleasure... hehehe. Laughing is healthy. So that style was popular all over the world, ha. They sure put something in our drinking water at the time.
Oh those hairstyles, some really captured the eye, colour dyes started not very popular so much over here.
Men always looked to sports stars or musicians, thank goodness bee-hive hairstyles had gone out by this time.
...gone out by this time? Ha, i still can see some wearing that "styles". But maybe they are just time travelers?! Hm, going to ask next time i'll see that neighbor... 😬
Some were pretty over the top!
Haha Mrs T is a hairdresser originally and cannot stand the mullet! Haha reminds of a time when we were living in Florida and went to a hair show in Orlando. Long story short I was volunteered to be a model for Redken and their new metro pop hair colour. She coloured my hair live on stage. So the mad Scot had bright red long hair haha
Hahaha... what a story. Red head scot. Come on, you must have a picture of that 😉 😁
Maybe something like this 😂
I'd pay to see a picture of the mad Scot with bright red long hair, Super Ed @tengolotodo 😉
Shht... don't say that, he will charge us all. Hahahahaha
I'm sure he would never let us see that photo even if we pay him. 😂😂
well we don't have, but will see if one of her sisters has one
haha well it was even more pop to it lol
Yeah I am sure her sisters might have one
