The squirrel is a youngster and you know what kids are like. They like to inspect every new thing.
So I knew what was going to happen and thankfully I could stop it. The hawk had to go and search elsewhere for food as it also has a youngster to feed. but not on my patch.
I got the hawks again today on my camera at a dam that is close by and both parents were with the youngster.
Dad at the top then the youngster and the mom at the bottom.
