As I continue to learn about the Hive blockchain, it is clear enough that we all need to do our part in keeping it functioning smoothly.

Following through, here is the transaction, for my 2nd HPUD:

This is 3X my 1st HPUD, as I have now received my first full month of earnings. Yes, I know this isn't going to pump the price of HIVE. It is, however, progress.

Earnings and Partnerships
While coming to grips with the whole idea of getting paid to interact with others, I cannot contribute to powering up without earning something. And one of my key decisions, in electing to have anything to do with contributing content, was to attempt it via partnerships.
Earnings
What did my first full month look like?

While I initially had no thought of keeping an accounting of any kind, I decided it might be helpful for looking back in the future. Whether or not that motivation holds up for making the effort is an open question.
Partnerships
While none too excited to end the month with my HIVE balance in the red
versus last month, it was important to me to power up 30 HIVE anyway, as I had made an important decision about my partnership pledge.
While one can see above the results of this with individual account wallets, having gained a deeper appreciation for and better understanding of community wallets, I made three delegations, as well:
- 10 HP to @topcomment
- 10 HP to @thoughtfulposts
- 10 HP to @hive-106316 (Silver Bloggers)
Yes, I know this isn't going to move the needle much on the HP balances in these account wallets, but at least I did something to give back and support others. Partnership.

Next Steps?
At the end of my first full month of contributing content to Hive, what have I decided heading into the second full month?
- For the foreseeable future, my Hive wallet balance will be built up "organically."
- Finding a good balance between investing my time here and in real life is still my biggest concern.
- Interacting with others is what will keep me motivated. Finding those with whom I can create and maintain a genuine rapport will be key.
Comments on how others have reached their next step decisions are welcome.

And with that ...

QT is steadily climbing up the staircase. Taking it one step at a time.
Starting out, I wasn't sure what to make of the posts which seemed exclusively focused on the inner workings of the Hive blockchain. Having read enough of the blogs of others, though, I guess it is worthwhile.
Over time, I assume I will get more comfortable with exactly why I am writing whatever I am publishing. Right now, it seems still very much a work-in-progress, to get that figured out.
What has been your experience with this monthly exercise? Specifically, how have you found it to be beneficial?
Best wishes, until we meet again,
QT

A person's integrity is not truly tested, until it costs them something. awarded to @tengolotodo:
Congratulations on the power up and Happy HPUD
You will figure out what you want to write. Some people just post about Hive, it all depends what you want. I prefer now to put things on the chain that people can look back on.
Yes, I can see the potential for that. Whether it becomes my primary motivation for creating any content at all remains to be seen.
Thanks for the consistent input, @tengolotodo! 🤝
To be honest my biggest thing is fun. If something is not fun then I remove myself.
Congratulations @quark.top! You received a personal badge!
Participate in the next Power Up Day and try to power-up more HIVE to get a bigger Power-Bee.
May the Hive Power be with you!

We have no problem, @wesphilbin, for which an apology is necessary. I understand you are doing the best you can. I like this community and decided to demonstrate that with action versus words only. While I wish I could do more, at least I did something.
